Great experience at Sea Dog Brewing in South Portland! The atmosphere is casual and friendly , it’s got that classic Maine pub feel without the tourist crowds. The staff were welcoming and quick with service, even during a busy dinner rush.

The food was delicious , I really enjoyed the haddock sandwich and the fries were perfectly crispy. Their craft beers are the highlight, especially the Blue Paw Blueberry Ale, which pairs perfectly with just about anything on the menu.

It’s a solid spot for meeting friends, catching a game, or grabbing a relaxed meal with family. Plenty of parking, good vibes, and consistently great food and beer. Highly recommend!

The spot is decent… What you’d expect from a commercialized brewery experience. The help was great.. lady behind the bar was friendly, attentive.
Beer was good, no complaints there. The food.. The food, was good. Taste and quality no problem. Problem..plastic string things generally don’t belong in food. Was not an fabulous attempt at consuming. ‍♂️

Excellent food and location! Ate on the outdoor side patio with college girlfriends over Labor Day. The staff was apologetic because servers were leaving for college but the service was still top notch. We bought a gift certificate to thank a neighbor for a sailing trip. Seafood was fresh and delicious. Vegetarian option was superb garlic and spinach ravioli. Highly recommend.

We had family in town and stopped by Sea Dog Brewing Co. in South Portland. They were able to accommodate our large group of 12 with no problem, and our waiter was super friendly and handled the group like a pro.

I’m a big fan of haddock, so I went with the blackened haddock sandwich, and it was absolutely amazing. The fish was flaky and flavorful, perfectly blackened, and the bun was toasted just right, buttery and crisp. It came with a tasty Cajun Tartar sauce, which paired great with the fish. I also added sweet potato fries on the side, which were excellent.

Whenever we’re in Portland, this is one of our go-to spots, and it never disappoints.

The Sea Dog was pretty damn good! We had a party of 9 (Six adults and three kids). I ordered the pan blackened haddock tacos and they were EXCELLENT! My wife ordered the fish & chips and it was very good as well! Pretty expensive though- the bill came to over $200!! Mike – our server – was excellent though. And we saw the pumpkin king lol. They were repping their pumpkin ale. I had the IPA and it was good. My wife had the windjammer blonde ale and she enjoyed it as well!

I ordered the Fried Haddock Sandwich and the Blonde Beer during brunch. First, I missed the fact I was overcharged on the sandwich, but the menu states a “Cajun tartar sauce” which IF it was Cajun, it went unnoticed. The beer was cool but not cold. Bartender was ok but not super friendly or smiley. My first visit here and was highly disappointed. I guess the bland taste of the sandwich and the temperature of the beer made my overall impression disappointing.

The food and the service were absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere is alright. FREEZING and iced tea was NOT good. I honestly think the atmosphere could be tuned up. But the food is amazing and the server was worth her tip!

Went to the brewery to celebrate my birthday (which has become a tradition to try new breweries every year) with my husband, and it was delicious! I got a cold lobster roll & he had a fried haddock sandwich! Our fries were definitely double fried and cold, so that was a bummer. Hazelnut Porter was exactly what I wanted on a cold, gloomy day! Service was great! I would highly recommend stopping here!

Our waitress was outstanding. The service was great but the seafood linguine was honestly boring. Tasted like mayonnaise and ketchup sauce. The portion was great but the taste….

The tuna appetizer was delicious. Highly recommended

Such a great place with some unique takes on food. Im not sure what mine was called but it was a sandwich with crab in it and it was amaaaaazing. Most of the beers were unoffensive or really good, we got the 10 flight which is a great deal. I would definitely go back again when Im in the area.
