This Old Skool hidden gem diner is just what the doctor ordered! In a town filled with a huge number of average and formulaic casual dining spots…this classic establishment absolutely shines. I mean when was the last time you had a proper sloppy Joe? The staff is well seasoned and friendly, the homestyle and simple menu is filled with classics like chili, fried chicken, cheese, steak, hamburger, etc and the prices are very friendly too.

We finally tried this cozy little breakfast/lunch spot. So glad we did! It’s always busy but it wasn’t a long wait at all. Family owned and operated for the last 31 years. The family that all work & run it really make this place extra special. Everyone was super welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. It reminded me of having breakfast at my grandmas house. The menu has something for everyone- many breakfast items, combos, even lunch item plates, and burgers. I wish we could’ve tried everything. The crispy hashbrowns and fluffy, buttery pancakes were perfect. My egg salad sandwich was really good! Obviously a simple dish but had great flavor. The biscuits and gravy were also top notch- all made homemade daily! The prices are way more than reasonable which is awesome especially these days. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I loved our visit. Quirky little restaurant on a side street. No frills menu. Server was competent but I’m not going to lie she didn’t smile at all and barely spoke to us. Kind of added to the atmosphere. Bob and his sister who run the restaurant were great. She knows everyone and he thanked us so kindly for our visit and we knew he meant it. Great customer service. Food was great too. Bob said the cooks have been there for years. Great family run business.

We went there for lunch! I had a BLT with home fries…it was good and the service was fast and friendly!!! People like to go there for breakfast! Mom and pop shop!

The food was like a home cooked meal. Service was quick. The server was good. She was very attentive and refilled drinks as she saw they were low. Came and checked on us several times.

I come here all time. The food is good. Sometimes service is not that good. Today had the Chicken tenders Salad. Couldn’t get anyone to ever see if I needed anything they just hung out in kitchen. I waited then I said I would go get a box and pay my bill. By the time I got up to pay the girl just threw all the garbage on my plate with over half of the salad on the plate. I ran back but to late. They never even ask or just took off something from my bill. Very disappointed.

Great quality food & very friendly and welcoming staff. I had the South of the Border omelette, it was one of the best omelettes I’ve had in a long time, and the hash browns were cooked nice and crispy and not soggy. My wife loved the biscuits and gravy. Prices are super reasonable too, 3 of us ate for $36 total. We will definitely come back next time we visit!
