The food was excellent and the presentation is really impressive. Those are the kind of sushis that you first admire with your eyes before you taste them. We also had great service, very attentive personnel. The only thing that I would mention is that they keep the dining room very cold, most people kept their jackets on. But other than that, everything was excellent.

We were not disappointed.
The miso soup was clearly homemade and delicious. I love having a bowl on a cool wintery day.
We had 3 rolls and 3 pieces of nigiri each.
I love rating a sushi place based on their Unagi. Sushi Wara has outstanding Unagi.
We noticed lots of other customers ordering cooked food. The shrimp tempura seemed to be a big draw. It’s hard for me to order something other than sushi at a sushi restaurant. I love sushi too much

What an amazing find. The best sushi I have ever had. Beautiful presentation, rich flavours and mouth watering tastes. The staff are so friendly and always smiling. We will definitely be back.

We stopped here on a whim visiting the island and are so happy we did. The food is incredible!! We ordered the sushi combo, where you can choose your rolls. We got the salmon avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, and the chopped scallops roll, and ontop of that we ordered the lobster roll, spicy miso soup, and the avocado bomb. Everything was phenomenal. Sushi is my favorite food and I can confidently say this is one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever tried. I’ll be dreaming of this place!

Flavourful fresh food. The pumpkin croquettes, avocado bomb and Alaska roll are a must try. My dad is vegetarian and he loves the agedashi tofu. Enjoy!

I’ll start off by saying I’m visiting from Vancouver and get sushi from different places there a lot, this place caught me by surprise at how good it was.
Gyoza was just right, not too wet not too dry and the sauce was amazing.
Spicy miso was delicious, had a nice thickness with seafood flavor that wasn’t overpowering.
Chicken Yaki-Soba really hit the spot, good variety and proportion of ingredients.
California roll did not disappoint tasted fresh. Alaska roll was my favorite, great sauce. Dynamite roll was decent, had more of a Yam tempura taste than prawn.

I just had my first experience with Sushi Wara and it was absolutely amazing! The restaurant is on the smaller side, so it has an intimate vibe. The front end staff were very helpful and friendly. I had the Qualicum Beach Roll and it made every piece of sushi before it seem meh. I just found my all time favourite sushi. I will definitely be back soon.

Always such a great selection on the menus, so each time we’re there we always choose something different. Service is incredible. Served super fast. Incredible friendly staff and great environment for date night and a night on the town. Best sushi on the island. Highly recommended if you’re in qualicum and want sushi!!!

My wife and I love sushi, and both agree that we can’t think of a better sushi restaurant we have been to. How lucky are we that Sushi Wara is the closest restaurant to us! The quality is amazing. We have had 1 Korean dish so far, and it was excellent. Will need to try more of their Korean food. Good job Wara and staff!

Excellent experience! Max was so friendly as we walked in to get some take out sushi! It was our first time coming here and the food was delicious so we decided to come back the next day for lunch as well since we were only in qualicum for the weekend! Highly recommend! Excellent service, food and a relaxing atmosphere
