This placed is awesome! The food is fresh and delicious, and they have more than just tacos. The place is spotless and the service is top notch. This time I got the caldo de res (amazing) and the gentleman took the time to make sure to make it leak-proof. 10/10 customer service. Food is so so good. Me and my husband Chad Jacobs love their food. Thanks again guys. Food was off the chain my husband got the chicken anchelatas and I got the nacho trio. With chicken and steak and shrimp with the white cheese all over and onions and green peppers and banana peppers and red peppers it’s awesome.

I’m not sure how this place could ever receive less than a 5 star rating. Their authentic cuisine is delicious and they’re expedient with their customers orders. The staff is polite and outgoing, having even kept their restaurant open past its closing time. I have had nothing but a positive experience and great Mexican cuisine from Taqueria “El Rey”.

Great Tacos!!!! What I notice from some people who eat here, they say the tacos are tasty but small. From what I understand that’s how they are suppose to be and they are actually the perfect size to enjoy all the ingredients. So far the most authentic tasting tacos I have had in NC.

A small family owned business, very inviting and friendly.
Don’t go in and expect the food on the table in 5 minutes. Everything is prepared fresh.
According to my wife, that was the best guacamole she has ever had…creamy with just the right amount of cilantro, not loaded with garlic and onions as some places do.
I had the chicken gorditos and they certainly were not “taco bell ones” and did not even resemble them. Our daughter had soft shell chicken tacos and my wife had a shrimp quesadilla.
2 baskets of chips for our guacamole along with “queso” cheese.
The horchota was excellent.
Absolutely would recommend and will be returning.

I was driving down the road and needed to place a phone call as the cell service was spotty driving. I used their parking lot and was parked for an hour or so. I will say I didn’t eat here but was surprised at the amount of traffic in and out of the restaurant during that time frame. Also while parked it looked like a sheriff’s convention as there were at least four or five cars in and out during that time frame. If the locals stop by I’ll have to eat there next time I drive through. The place may be a four star?

We got food from here and the shrimp was burnt and the fajitas had more onions then meat. Meat was cut super thin to the point we didn’t know what we were eating. Also called ahead and still waited 30 min. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

First time trying it out. Mostly a call in and pickup place. Great authentic Mexican dinner’s and tacos. Fast service and super clean. It’s all brand new. Loved it.
