Went on a Sunday morning around 11am. Definitely busy but the line moved super fast and was not a long wait to get inside seating at all. Got the foster banana half sweet ice latte which was yummy and an iced were foam. Also go the shakshuka danish, which was delicious. Total for 2 drinks and 1 pastry was around $20 dollars. They did warm up the pastry which we appreciated but wish it was warmed up a little more- the egg was cold when bitten into. But overall good experience and good and fast service with how busy it was. Would come again

the heartiest brunch place around downtown chicago i tried during my short stay! my friend and i ordered the bacon avocado omelette, egg ham cheddar biscuit, and the cherry cruffin to share! excellent brunch full of flavour.

for drinks, i got the specialty coffee with notes of orange and chocolate mocha it was a little too sweet for me but props to the creativity of bringing out the flavour. my friend had a mango matcha that lives up to expectations!

overall great place for catching up and chats, not so much a place you’d want to study at or read a book in, it can get busy!

The Goddess and the Baker is definitely cute — bright, fun decor, plenty of seating, and solid Wi-Fi. It’s in a great walkable part of Chicago, so it’s an easy spot to duck into.

Service was fast, but not particularly warm. When I asked a couple questions and tried to get recommendations, the staff didn’t seem too enthusiastic or helpful. Not rude, just… uninterested.

I ordered the protein bowl and a cold brew with tiramisu cold foam. The bowl tasted like a standard pre-made microwave meal you’d get at Starbucks — very mid, lacking flavor, and nothing I’d go out of my way to order again. The coffee was the bigger disappointment: I asked for cold brew topped with cold foam (specifically not a latte!), but it came out tasting like MILK with zero coffee flavor.

Overall, it’s a cute spot to sit and work, but the food and drinks didn’t land for me. A solid three stars — fine, but not somewhere I’d rush back to for the menu.

Very close to loving this spot… There was an immediate buzz in the air around 9am as it was packed. It’s bright and the space is used to capacity. The brewed coffee was tasty and refillable. The barbacoa bowl with quinoa was tasty by very small for the price. Service seemed a little strained, maybe because it’s so popular. Overall a good experience.

This place is super cute. The food is relishes and they have a lot to choose from. I DID NOT LIKE THEIR SEATING ARRANGEMENT: the metal chairs are very hard to seat on, the round tables are kinda small even for 2 people and when food comes, it occupies the entire table. We ordered the Ironman scramble – very delicious and fulfilling, I had an omelette and it was very yummy. My mom is a professional baker and she said that their croissants are fantastic.

What a great place! The decor is simple/industrial but very nice. The space is a little tight but comfy, one large community table with a few 2 seaters and a 4-seat window bar. Menu is small but diverse and the staff are friendly and efficient, remembering my brother-in-law from a few visits over a few weeks. The pastries look and TASTE amazing, the food was great and flavorful.

First even though it looks like they have a big choice, it all pretty mid things. Cookies with “colorful” artificial color sprinkles. Croissants look dry. Do not expect amazing pastries from this place. Breakfast was tasty, I had omelette with bacon and avocado – really good.
Service – really disaster. There is sign “order through app – skip the line”. We ordered, adding in a comments « for here». Our food been packed in boxes and no one even tried to figure out who’s food it waiting. My husband went to find out and as soon as he said name the lady “educate” him that it supposed to be for take away not for here, it looks like instead or resolving problem they choose to let food seat in a box and then “explain” how the app works.

What a vibrant and thriving coffee shop!! I absolutely love how friendly all the staff is first of all. They warmly welcome you as you walk in and colors richly envelope the space to feel appreciated. They offer so many options for vegetarians! The coffee options are vast and I ended up getting 2 drinks for myself bc I couldn’t pick. The smoked vanilla vanilla latte and the miso cold foam pumpkin cold brew. I paired my drinks with 2 eggs over medium, hash browns, and vegan patties and toast with an everything bagel. I love the hearty breakfast options bc I like to have a big breakfast to keep me satiated in the mornings. I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere and I would recommend visitors and locals to Goddesses and the baker over the other coffee shops in the city!

This place is ideally located for the intense foot traffic for practically all days when it is open. The place was packed on this sunny Saturday as autumn descends on the month. This is a well established institution city-wide with many locations as a baker and grocer.

I really enjoyed their ham and cheese croissant. It was savory and flavorful encased in a crunchy, fluffy and flaky pastry shell. Extremely satisfying!!

However, i was absolutely disappointed with their Morning Sandwich. Granted their 15 minute promise for my order took nearly 25 minutes was not the issue. Its just when I finally received it and walked 30 feet to Iwan Ries to enjoy it, It was soggy. The sandwich also was very sparse on the bacon and cheese, though the avacado was prominent. I guess the use of white toast acted like a sponge as it steamed in the wrapper. It was still tasty but you really cant screw up scrambled eggs. Though I have had much better ones (see Doma Cafe).
