A must-visit for football fans and food enthusiasts, blending a vibrant atmosphere, excellent food, and great service and hospitality. This pub is a home for Manchester United supporters, with a bunch of screens ensuring you catch every thrilling moment. They open early for all United games, making it the go-to spot for Red Devils fans to cheer. The energy during matches is electric, perfect for enjoying “real football” with fellow fans.

The breakfast menu shines, with the English breakfast as the star. It’s a hearty plate of crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and beans, delivered with quality and generous portions. Other breakfast options are solid, but this classic is a standout.

Pair your meal with cold beer, served refreshingly chilled, from lagers or a hot coffee. The great service ensures drinks and meals arrive promptly, with staff whose warmth and efficiency enhance the experience.

The interiors are a treat, merging Irish pub charm with football passion. Adorned with club flags, scarves, and souvenirs, the decor creates a cozy, spirited vibe, with Manchester United flag in front on gameweeks. There’s plenty of seating, accommodating solo visitors or groups, and ample parking adds convenience for stress-free visits. The hospitality here is exceptional, with staff making you feel like part of the community, whether you’re a regular or a first-timer.

I love this place for its infectious energy, superb breakfast, and unwavering dedication to football. George & Dragon is more than a pub—it’s a welcoming hub where great food, drinks, and match-day excitement come together. Whether you’re a United fan or just seeking a lively spot with outstanding service, this pub delivers an unforgettable experience.

While back in Phoenix we decided to stop here for dinner and a few drinks. My better half’s decision being from Liverpool, England, she wanted British cusuine (which I am not real familiar with being more familiar with Latino/Native American cusuine and culture). The atmosphere was inviting, warm, and cozy; not overly loud like most establishments. I was told it was faily genuine in atmosphere and aesthetics to how actual British pubs are. The drinks were good. The service was poor, taking quite some time but in their defense it did appear they were understaffed, having only one server for such a large establishment. We ordered our food..and some 20-30 minutes later were informed they had none of part of our order. They did comp part of our order but I would think any properly managed kitchen would be aware of this and it would be mentioned at ordering. Almost an hour later we finally received our food; fairly large portion (fish and chips and a veggie burger for her) that was good. However, upon trying the coleslaw…well, I have never encountered dry, bland, flavorless coleslaw in my life and I travel frequently. My partner tried it and said, no, this is not British coleslaw. I mentioned this the manager (who, while the establish claims to be British owned, is clearly not educated or trained in English culture) stated “Well, British food is bland.” To which my partner stated “I am from Liverpool. Our food is not like this and that was offensive.” The manager did not even offer an apology, merely walked away. Upon paying they lost our debit card. Took a few minutes for them to find it..on the floor where anyone could have picked it up and stole it.

Just not a pleasant experience.

I’ve been wanting to visit George and Dragon for so long and we finally stopped in for lunch. As soon as we walked in staff and customers invited us to sit. It was a great welcoming for our first time in! We shared the dinner size fish and chips, came with a side of coleslaw. The fish was delicious flakey and crispy and plenty big enough for us to feel full. The beer was cold with a lot of options. Would be great to hang out & shoot pool, watch a game or have a nice dinner with friends & family. Looking forward to going back if not for the food, for the friendly people!

1pm on a Tuesday was amazing – got noticeably busy after 2pm but manageable – Sara was great! Food was yummy and I’m so glad they played the EFL cup game even though when I called to ask, they said they only play Premier League games.

Best bar in Phoenix. Great food. Wings are amazing. Shepherd pie. Fish and chips. All good. Never had bad food there and I went there for about 10 years. Great people. Except Nigel. Good pool players too. Get the owner talking. He’s got some stories. Good times.

4.5/5 stars because we had weird vibes from our server. But the food was great – the fish and chips were phenomenal, some of the best I’ve ever had. The fish was perfectly breaded (not too thick), and the fish was so moist/tender without being oily. We also got a Cornish Pastie with a side of curry – which was a great choice. The pastie was well seasoned and cooked, and having the curry as an added flavor was a great addition.

Huge shout out to Brittany for making my experience as perfect as it was. I walked in off the streets and as a dark beer drinker, I wanted something other than Guinness. She recommended Founders Porter and it was perfect. Thick, creamy and smooth.

There’s a good amount of lunch specials, but I asked what she recommended and she went with the Shepherd’s Pie. It’s a generous size for lunch and very filling. It comes with a flavorful gravy that goes nicely with the entire meal.

I ordered a hot custard at the end of my meal and it was one of the best custards I’ve ever had. It was made fresh, not served too hot, thick, smooth, not too sweet.

Restaurant is pretty big; they did a great job utilizing the space and not overcrowding the tables. There’s a gaming area with pool and darts as well.

This place came highly recommended . . . and it was . . . okay.
It is very dark, kinda divey, but clean and friendly. The service was friendly and fast, the food was decent with very large portions. I wish they did beer flights, as I would have liked to try samples of various beers, but the 2 I got were good and inexpensive.
