The Lemon Posset is great . Even the N/A drink is tasty (Santa Clausthaler)
The breakfast menu shines, with the English breakfast as the star. It’s a hearty plate of crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and beans, delivered with quality and generous portions. Other breakfast options are solid, but this classic is a standout.
Pair your meal with cold beer, served refreshingly chilled, from lagers or a hot coffee. The great service ensures drinks and meals arrive promptly, with staff whose warmth and efficiency enhance the experience.
The interiors are a treat, merging Irish pub charm with football passion. Adorned with club flags, scarves, and souvenirs, the decor creates a cozy, spirited vibe, with Manchester United flag in front on gameweeks. There’s plenty of seating, accommodating solo visitors or groups, and ample parking adds convenience for stress-free visits. The hospitality here is exceptional, with staff making you feel like part of the community, whether you’re a regular or a first-timer.
I love this place for its infectious energy, superb breakfast, and unwavering dedication to football. George & Dragon is more than a pub—it’s a welcoming hub where great food, drinks, and match-day excitement come together. Whether you’re a United fan or just seeking a lively spot with outstanding service, this pub delivers an unforgettable experience.
Just not a pleasant experience.
There’s a good amount of lunch specials, but I asked what she recommended and she went with the Shepherd’s Pie. It’s a generous size for lunch and very filling. It comes with a flavorful gravy that goes nicely with the entire meal.
I ordered a hot custard at the end of my meal and it was one of the best custards I’ve ever had. It was made fresh, not served too hot, thick, smooth, not too sweet.
Restaurant is pretty big; they did a great job utilizing the space and not overcrowding the tables. There’s a gaming area with pool and darts as well.
It is very dark, kinda divey, but clean and friendly. The service was friendly and fast, the food was decent with very large portions. I wish they did beer flights, as I would have liked to try samples of various beers, but the 2 I got were good and inexpensive.
