We finished off dive bar December with a trip to Hotel Hanover that probably served up the best food of the group we visited. The special Krampus wings were top shelf, extra crispy with lots of flavor. The bacon cheeseburger was solid and came with a great tasting coleslaw which is hard to find. The house made chips were outstanding. Well worth a visit!

Hanover Hotel makes and delivers food for several downtown establishments that don’t run their own kitchens. You can order and pay on your phone. Then it gets delivered. We had a few complaints about meals. The Mulligatawny Stew cost $8.00. It sounded great for a cold winters night. When it arrives, it gets handed off to your establishments staff. They then deliver it to your table (I called to give my table number, but woman said she didn’t need it and they would “call out auctioneer style”). So you really don’t have any means of feedback when you actually see your food.
My soup consisted of approximately 8 oz of reddish clear broth with some canned or frozen peas and carrots, also I counted 5 tiny meatballs similar to Italian Wedding soup. By no means was this a stew, nor worth $8.00. I also ordered the chicken tenders tossed in garlic buffalo sauce. They tasted good and were delivered hot. They cost $14.00, plus $1.00 for blue cheese (no sides).
My husband ordered the Reuben panini. He said there was hardly any cheese on the sandwich.
I wish there were more salad options or entrees. They only had one entree salad or a tossed salad. Also, no entrees. Everything was a sandwich or wrap.

They are trying. Going non smoking is a great start Now they just need someone behind the bar to make you feel like your welcome

I’d like to see more unique decorations and character but it’s a nice place. Food is phenomenal

Meet The Rachel. The best sandwich in town! We’re not married, I wouldn’t lie to you. I ate the other half before I realized I didn’t take a picture. GO NOW! Order take out.. it’s the best!

We were very surprised by how good the food was when we first ordered from here over 3 years ago. The past 3 times though have been horrendous. The latest, and likely last, was today. The fries were like they were spooned out of a bowl of water they were so soggy and limp. No seasoning (salt) either. The Rachel was an absolute joke. About 4 thinly sliced pieces of turkey, store bought like slaw, congealed cheese and wet bread. That was the first of 4 dishes we got and the other three were slightly better.
It’s extremely disappointing from a place that was by far one of the better food spots within 20 miles of Hanover. Now it seems to be inclined to slide down the chart to sit with the rest of the area’s mediocre choices for a meal. Sad.

I always enjoy checking out the monthly specials. They are always creative and full of flavor. This month, the crabacado sandwich was awesome!

Why the hell did you stop Saturday karaoke. Place is dead the dollars won’t lie. Stupid. Kataoke was the only reason I used to go here. Not going anymore it’s lame.

So we’re in the bar area. No thanks. It’s a giant cigarette on the inside. Tables need to be wiped down there are liquids all over most of them and cigarette ashes. The only good thing about this place was the quick bar service. This is a one-and-done visit. While I’m understanding that it is a bar, there needs to be a limit on what they allow. You have one pool table, one area for darts the music is run by the touch tunes app. Cheers.

Bartender was disrespectful to the group as we walked in. The interior looked decent though.
