The seafood quesadilla was delicious. My wife like the deluxe cheese sandwich. The peach cobbler was so so. Bare bones inside. The cook came out and helped us make a selection.

From the moment I walk in, this places feels like a family spot. The main menu items don’t miss, but those specials (like the gumbo on Fri and Sat or the drink mixes) are even better! I happened to go on a day when a regular was dining in, and his testimony gave me 6 more things I’ll have to try soon. Lol. Thank you for your hospitality.

If you read this review. Give me a thumbs up. This was a cute little black owned restaurant. We got there late and was not able to try much. However they have a very diverse menu and I will be back to try some other things. I had potato soup and vegetable soup. The Vegetable soup needed more seasoning for me and the potato soup was not the flavor I was looking for. However, others liked the baked potato soup. The lemonade was really good as well. I can’t wait to go back and try more items. The owner and staff was super nice.

This hidden gem in Oak Park has some delicious food choices on it’s menu and I’ve only hit the tip of the iceberg. Today, I tried the Chicken salad on croissant (aka The Downriver) for lunch and it was a very generous size for the price and equally tasty. I also ordered the peach cobbler and 2 homemade muffins (Cinnamon toast crunch & strawberry with lemon. On a seperate trip, I stopped in an ordered the Chicken Caesar pita and the Enter the Dragon smoothie. I enjoyed all of it and will be back to try other items on their menu.

The owners are nice but the food is overpriced, bland and very mediocre. The large seafood quesadilla my husband got is not large, it is mall made with a taco size flour tortilla. The salmon croissant sandwich I got was bland , the salmon seemed to only be seasoned with paprika. The desserts and smoothies are ok, but everything is overpriced. Probably wont go back.

We had smoothies and pun intended…these are KING!! A new pun…I was in a CAFE and really felt a TROPICAL wave of deliciousness! By far best smoothie in metro Detroit! The menu makes Coney Islands look bare and limited. I had seafood gumbo with beef sausage customers were willing to share a sample yep!

That Pastrami Mami is a knockout! Especially when the cheese is melted. The sauces and slaw were perfect with it, too! I also ordered a smoothie that was delicious as well.

Nice little spot for some good food and friendly service. The veggie quessadilla was tasty with spinach, black olives and green onions, served with spur cream and salsa. I also enjoyed the Berry Beet Bloom smoothie with pineapple, beets, apple juice, etc. It was really good and didn’t have added sugar, ice or powders.

Very extensive menu of sandwiches, salads, burgers, smoothies and sides. I saw a lot I wanted to order but was recommend the Big Willie Philly sandwich. I also ordered a side of cheese fries and a smoothie. Extremely friendly service and atmosphere. When I got home and opened my carry out the sandwich looked amazing. Was going snap a pic but the sandwich was too good to resist. A lot of meat and good bread and everything cooked perfectly. Smoothie was super refreshing and tasty. I will be back for sure.
