My wife and I got the Birria tacos, and they were absolutely fantastic.
Nothing but fresh and clean ingredients used here which is a plus.
The rice and beans are delicious.
My wife and I ordered the loaded steak nachos as an appetizer which was also very good.
Expect fresh chips and salsa the moment you sit down before your order is even taken.
The street corn tasted good. Not sure if it’s supposed to be warm or not.
Here’s the deal. Look at my picture, the food is served in plastic cups, with plastic silverware, on metal food trays. I’m fine with that, I don’t need a gourmet experience when I’m in the mood for tacos. But the pricing suggests I’m getting something special, but in reality, you’ll get
*less food than any of the area Mexican restaurants serve
*cold food
*picnic-style platery
*no complementary chips & salsa
*smaller portions
Alright. This is a Google review. I absolutely mean no ill intent to the business and its owner. In fact, I’d love for them to make it here. I could eat Hispanic food every day of the week. I was excited to try it. I hope they take the feedback given by myself and other reviewers and make some changes. I won’t come back until I read more positive reviews.
Two stars for the bartender, though. Drinks were tasty and she was very friendly all while handling the bar, the entire dining room, incoming doordash orders, and take out orders. My frozen twisted sangria and margarita was interesting. I really enjoyed the mix of these two drinks.m, though I think the drink was a bit over-priced compared to other Local places that offer margaritas and sangria.
The nachos locos were really gross, though. I took a few bites but gave up. They were on a regular sized dinner plate—chips, canned jalapeños, runny cheese sauce, and the “steak” tasted kind of weird. The little cubes of meat weren’t seasoned but they didn’t really taste like steak….I’m pretty sure it was mystery meat.
We ended up not ordering dinner after how scary the nachos were. I mean how do you mess up nachos? There wasn’t even any salsa, sour cream, lettuce… it was the saddest plate of nachos I’ve ever seen. I see pictures of other people’s food and I can’t imagine they can make good food here after these nachos. Even the salsa that came with the chips was runny and flavorless just like the cheese…it’s like they are watering these things down!
Our drinks were decent, though, and the bartender was a champ for running the whole restaurant.
The red salda is actually spicy! The fish and shrimp tacos had great flavor by themselves and were cooked perfectly. (Overcooked shrimp is my biggest pet peeve.) Carnitas had great seasoning too!
Servers were attentive without suffocating. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Only downside was music was way too loud. (Or maybe I’m too old?)
Loved everything so much I mixed all the leftovers for a taco salad the next day!
I was hoping that the bad reviews from a month a go have been resolved, as the company owner has been adamant on commenting on reviews, saying they will fix the issues brought up. But unfortunately i just had the displeasure of experience the saddest most expensive tacos I’ve ever purchased. For 10 dollars, I received a taco that was ONLY chicken and a soft tortilla. With rice and beans on the side. Where’s the lettuce, tomato, sour cream, onions, there’s almost NOTHING. For the price of 3.33$ per taco, I expected so much more.
And when it came to the burrito, it was alright also expensive. But also missing so many key ingredients to really make it shine.
Just take a look at some of these pictures and you’ll see what I mean. If you want a taco your better off at taco bell down the street. And if you want a burrito you better off at chipotle down the street.
And for the owners I understand that this is a “soft launch” but most of your customers are going to see this as your proper launch. First impressions are everything. Best of luck.
