El Califas Tacos is located behind the alliance gas station on Mathilda. Parking is very limited here
El Califas Tacos is a taco truck that has pretty good tacos for the area. The “El Califas” tacos are cooked with a layer of melted cheese in the middle which is pretty unique to them. They have lots of meat choices as well
The horchata was a also pretty good which comes in a bottle and makes it easier to shake/mix and drink.
Plenty of tables outside for you to sit and eat it fresh but parking is limited
Would highly recommend checking it out and ask for extra salsa!

Best tacos hands down!!! If you like cheese order with cheese you will love them. They come with a mild sauce, onions, cilantro. Radish on the side. I usually have them put the condiments on the side. Meats available asada, pastor, pollo, chicharron, barbacoa. They also have veggie tacos. Hours 10am-6pm.

I was very hungry drivIng in my neighbour when I spotted El Califas Tacos. I pulled into the gas station where they parked and ordered myself four steak tacos. Four tacos fits a regular 8″ inch plate. I took mine with mild hot sauce, cilantro, onions, radishes. I wolf them down in 15mins. If you are starved and need a quick bit look for El Califas Tacos at Maud ave and Mathila.

Found this great Taco truck on Mathilda Ave and the tacos here were amazing
I was curious about the “Chicharron Taco” & the owner was generous enough to give me a sample to try it out (this turned out to be my favorite). I also had the Carne Asada & Barbacoa tacos & they were delicious too!! Must definitely check this place out!!!

First time here and thoroughly enjoyed everything! Got to meet one of the passionate and personable owners, Fidel! You can truly tell they put a lot of work and love into their food because everything is flavorful, above and beyond what other places offer. Seriously, my Carne Asada burrito had flavors I have not had before so it was a really fun experience! The namesake Califas taco was equally enjoyable! Plenty of seating right next to the truck! Definitely check them out if you are in the area or even make the drive if you are a bit further!

Stopped by here for first time today while going threw Sunnyvale and I’m so glad I did. Absolutely delicious food!! Great service, very friendly owner, great food! Thank you so much for everything, we will be stopping by again for sure so much on my plate I got to enjoy for my lunch and dinner. I think this is called Pastor, but I’m not exactly sure, it’s delicious .If you love Mexican food you got to try them out, you won’t be disappointed. A+++

Their Taco’s with cheese is awesome. I loved their California quesadillas. Best in the bay. Decent location with some benches to sit and eat. Must Try them if you’re around.
