Great family owned restaurant. Wife and I went for date night and it was wonderful. Loved the family dinner experience we had and the food was amazing. The appetizers hit the spot but the dinner was really where it was at. Tried the Alfredo Fettuccine with prawns and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend for anyone. The lemon artichoke pasta was also really good!

We were a little disappointed with the quality of the food compared to the price. I got the chicken pesto sandwich and the fries were just okay, kind of mealy texture. The biggest thing was that the bread was not warmed up or toasted at all- even when I make sandwiches I home I always toast the bread. And it was $20. So I just felt like I could’ve made this all better myself. My friend got the tequila chicken pasta and it was super soupy. The sauce didn’t combine with the noodles at all, they were completely separate. My other friend got the fettuccine with prawns and she said that one was better. The lady was honestly super nice, but when we asked to have 4 separate checks she was superrrr pissed. I mean as someone who has been abroad a bunch I get not being able to do that elsewhere but the one thing I love about the US is being able to split checks no issue. Plus we’re all like broke college kids lol like cut us some slack. Maybe if we ordered different stuff it would have been better

My girlfriend and I found Nilo Restaurant after visiting the Blackhawk Museum. We had the Bruschetta for our appetizer. Then we shared the Pear and Gorgonzola Salad along with the Meat Calzone. We were very surprised with how delicious, fresh, and authentic the food was. We had the Tiramisu for dessert. I recommend all these items. We did not order any drinks.

The owner of this restaurant does not care about you patronizing his business, is openly rude and condescending to his customers and acts like you are doing him a favor by being there. The food is mediocre and is not made from scratch, it’s all frozen food he reheats and serves to customers. The food is low quality and overpriced. Real Italians would get sick witnessing this pathetic restaurant. Cleanliness is an issue as the floors and tables are dirty. Anyone walking by this restaurant will see its empty all day everyday, wonder why? Shut this place down once and for good. Blackhawk deserves better!

I had a great shrimp pasta. The owner/manager was on point and treated me great during my midafternoon attendance. The plaza area is full of ducks and geese. It was cleaner than I expected with that many birds but the water could use some filtering and aeration. But that’s beyond the restaurants job. I noted how pleasant the patio setting was and how varied the menu was. I would return here without question.

We came here for soup because my kid is wearing braces, but they don’t have any soup. The pasta is very plain, the garlic bread is burned. And there is black stuff floating in the water. Very disappointed!

Overpriced, low quality food, bad customer service. How does this place manage to pay their rent or turn a profit? Much better options for Italian food in downtown Danville. Making pasta at home with canned pasta sauce would be better than a meal here and much cheaper too! Blackhawk deserves better than this sorry excuse for a restaurant!

Food was really fresh and favorable. Finally found a great lasagna! Plus they had an apple crisp for dessert

The burger was raw and undercooked, but they refused to take it out of my bill. The only reasoning was that I can always ask to cook it more, which I obviously wouldn’t do because I have already eaten some of it’s undercooked parts
