The staff is friendly and accommodating. They’re now open 7 days a week, which I’m stoked to see. The Rasta Pasta and Oxtails from my last visit was mouth watering.

I got the Rocky Point Fish, brown stewed style, and curry chicken today and know it will not disappoint.

Thanks for bringing the taste of Jamaica to Pittsboro! This is the way ‍

Kingston 99 in Pittsboro, NC is an absolute gem and easily serves some of the best Jamaican food around. From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience felt authentic, welcoming, and unforgettable.

We ordered the jerk chicken and the Boston jerk pork, and both were outstanding. The flavors were bold, perfectly spiced, and deeply satisfying. The meat was incredibly tender, truly fall off the bone, showing the care and time put into the cooking. Every bite tasted rich, smoky, and authentic, the kind of food that makes you slow down and savor it.

What truly elevated the experience, though, was the hospitality. The owner, Jason, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what he does. After our meal, he went above and beyond by taking us around to some of the local breweries and showing us the area. That personal touch turned a great meal into an amazing experience.
Kingston 99 isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a place to connect, explore, and enjoy incredible food made with heart. If you’re in Pittsboro and craving authentic Jamaican cuisine, this spot is a must visit.

A cozy Jamaican restaurant set in a beautiful environment, The Plant in Pittsburgh, NC. The food is awesome, with the right amount of kick to the spices, and the meat falling off the bone. I definitely recommend visiting and dining out here. Seating outside and inside, it’s a great experience.

The food at Kingston99 is amazing! Authentic and freshly made, I can vouch for the jerk pork, escovitch snapper and oxtail meals. The Ackee & salt fish spring rolls are winners! Can’t wait to try more items off the menu.

The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Chef Jason is a wonderful guy! On my first visit, when we placed our order, he realized they were out of the item and he ran out from the kitchen to apologize and offer us alternatives. Service with a smile (not your typical Jamaican restaurant experience iykyk)!

Go try it yourself and check out the other offerings at The Plant in Pittsboro – very family and dog friendly

We were drinking next-door at fair trade and needed something to eat and the Jamaican food smelled so good. The owner is from Kingston Jamaica and was super nice and hospitable. The food was delicious and true to Jamaican jerk. Also, the beef patties were incredible. I wouldn’t necessarily come here for the atmosphere but you can take the food and eat outside in the beautiful courtyard or take it to any of the drinking spots. The food was delicious!

Thia restaurant is located in a very cute family friendly area. My family is in town for a tattoo convention, and we can never say no to Jamaican food. Growing up in a predominantly Caribbean neighborhood we ate it frequently. The food was pretty good, and the customer service was excellent. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because $6 for 4.5 slices of plantains is crazy. I thought for $6 I would have enough to share, so that was disappointing. And the oxtail was a bit on the sweeter side which I found odd but still good. Still better than any Jamaican food I’ve had in Raleigh area.

I recently visited Kingston 99 Kitchen and ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Rasta Pasta with a Ginger Beer to go, and it was absolutely amazing! The Rasta Pasta was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, with tender chicken and juicy shrimp that made every bite a delight. The Ginger Beer was the perfect refreshing complement to the flavorful meal.

Although I took my food to go, I noticed they have a welcoming indoor seating area and a nice outdoor seating option as well, which adds to the overall charm of the place. Whether you dine in or take out, this spot offers authentic Caribbean flavors that are not to be missed. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

Amazing authentic Caribbean food. The Reggae Pasta w/chicken was scrumptious. I highly recommend! Top notch service and atmosphere.

Di food tun up!

Update – OMG I’m having the leftovers for lunch and it is just as amazing!

3rd update – took my two sons tonight and everyone had an amazing time. I had the jerk burger this visit and it’s one of the best burgers I’ve had. The owner gave us a taste of the Christmas Ibiscus drink, a tradition on the island. It was delicious.

We found a Jamaican restaurant in the heart of Pittsboro, it felt like Finding gold. The food, the service, the people who serve it and the chef telling my wife everything about the food, it all was fantastic. They open Thursdays-Sunday. The images below do not make justice to the amount of food one gets on the Sunday brunch, we however took samplers and a full meal.

Returning for sure
