The atmosphere is inviting. I ordered a Caesar that came very spicy and we ordered a nachos to share. They nachos came cold, was lacking cheese and the Chips had no salt on the making them very bland and dry. Super disappointing as we have been on the road all day travelling and looked forward to something yummy.

Whatever happened to superb breakfast spread at JAX?
Staying at Podollan was always extra nice with the great breakfast at JAX. From pastries, fresh fruits, yogurt, hot breakfast, to fresh omelet made in front of you.
But now? Wow. Not so much.
Was a shock TBH when we stayed there on the weekend, came down for “awesome” breakfast, and they handed us papers of menu. Yep, paper, from a photocopier.
We brought 2 family members with us, boasting about JAX, but
Needless to say we didn’t expect it at all.
We asked one of the staffs, and she said since last year – no more buffet style, as guests preferred this way, not old food on the buffet dishes.
That actually doesn’t make sense
You took away fruits, pastries, yogurt, much less portions one can have and what to choose from, because guests prefer so?

Brushetta was not crispy at all, calamari was basically just batter crumbs… not impressed for the cost at all. Small small portions. The coconut shrimp was good. We spent $51 and I feel as though I have had two shrimp and a soggy piece of bread… we got it as room service at the attached hotel. It did however come quickly.

Service was awful, you would expect with them being in a hotel they would have accommodations for kids they do not gave my 2 year old a glass cup, didn’t have a child menu had to read it off the top of her head. We where never asked for a refill on drinks but where running around after everyone drinking plus everyone else was offered water but our family, I will never be coming back here again!

We stayed at the hotel attached to Jax restaurant and came down for dinner, not expecting a whole lot as it’s a hotel restaurant. We were very pleasantly surprised and went again the following night!

Really nice restaurant on the inside. Clean with lots of booth seating. We went on Saturday night and it was dead. Our server was pleasant but didn’t know what was in the dishes since my wife asked for no mushrooms in the stir fry and it came with mushrooms. I had the beef dip. Zero presentation. It was ok. The aus juis was good. The price was ok for what you got. The whole experience was “meh”. Did the job. But nothing to rant and rave about. The bare minimum and that’s it.
