My friend introduced me to Vietnam House today, she eats here all of the time and their food is delicious. Warned me that it will be busy there, we waited in line for 5-10 minutes I figured if they are this busy, their food must be good. We went in for lunch I had pork rice noodle bowl. Absolutely delicious my friend had the Tofu version
I let my husband know that my lunch was delicious and he and our daughter went there for dinner and they agreed
Would like to try more food off their menu.
One lady in particular who works there, was so fast and efficient at getting food out to people at the tables and cleaning the tables for more customers to sit.
The second photo was taken by my hubby at dinner time.

I tried their beef noodle soup, which came with freshly sliced beef, brisket, and beef balls.

Overall, the meal was okay but nothing particularly memorable. The broth tasted quite bland, the beef was a bit chewy, and I felt the dish could have used a more generous portion of protein. I also wasn’t a fan of the noodle texture, which didn’t quite suit my preference.

At $22, the price felt fair for the portion size.

I tried the spicy beef noodle here & it was yummy! The broth was bold and packed with flavour, perfectly complementing the tender beef. The heat level was just right & the fresh herbs added a nice touch.

The lovely staff made the dining experience even better!

Update:
We came back and were warmly welcomed by the middle-aged lady, who had such a great sense of humour. Her hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. As always, the food was yummy & met our expectations!

Well they always say that if people are wiring out of the door then it must be good. Today we found that queue and wasn’t disappointed.
The food was really tasty, the portions were good and the service was reasonable considering how busy it was. The menu was extensive and there were plenty of options for food intolerances too.

The only slight issue is that it can get noisy if it’s very busy.

If you’re the northern suburbs, then give this a shot, it be prepared for queues.

Return customer after moving away from SA over 5 years ago. I let the lovely lady know this was the case and she remembered us and treated us to some seafood net rolls, on the house. Food always was and still is amazing food, good service and fast. Highly recommend the bün bowls and broken rice, the home made soda lemon and Vietnamese coffee are my drinks of choice.

The lady who seated us and took our order seemed a little stressed and distracted, presumably because they were getting slammed at the time but this was alleviated when we saw our friend from when we were regulars many years ago. Thanks for a great dinner. We will be back.

I decided to edit my review in 2025. We now come here every month and try something new off of the menu! It’s all so nice.

Yummiest place. We bring our daughter here once a month and I come here for work regularly. Absolutely love it and we have never had a bad meal from here!!

During work visits I usually get cold rolls and they’re amazing.

I just wish it was open on Saturdays again so I could bring some family along who can’t make it during the week!

Requested it to be not spicy / no chili, yet there were still visible chili flasks…

Vietnam house has great Banh Mi rolls and great service.
I heard about this place and I’m from Melbourne, and we’ve got some pretty good Bahn mi places, think Springvale.
I’ve been here twice already and plan to go again at least 1 or 2 more times whilst I’m here in Adelaide to try a few other dishes (only here for 5 days) I’ve had the combo Bahn mi, roast pork Bahn mi, chicken prawn spring rolls and was lucky enough to get a free sample of the fried chicken wing today (how did she know I love chicken wings ), they were all delicious, but I still prefer roast pork Bahn mi the best.
The girl at the front counter was great, super friendly, smiled and had a great demeanor…. and both times I was one of the first customers of the day, waiting at the door at 11am with several others.
If your a fan of a good Bahn mi and you’re in Adelaide you have to drop in and give it a try. Good friends of ours who live about 35 mins away are regulars here for lunch and dinner, now I know why.
This is not a fancy inner city restaurant, it’s a suburban restaurant/cafe, and I wouldn’t want it any other way, it’s atmosphere absolutely suits the family owned and run business.

Edit: just came back from dinner, the place was buzzing, and service was fantastic. I tried the pork chop combo and their house seafood spring rolls, both were very tasty. Highly recommend.

Back again and had Combination rice (pork chop combo), pandan chicken skewers, spring roll Bun and 3 colour drink. Can recommend each of them. The 3-colour drink was especially fresh and tasty, the fish sauce for the pork chop was a little too spicy/chilli for me but I’m not a chilli person so most likely mild for most (but you do add it yourself )

Amazing authentic Family run Restaurant. Limited seating so better to book for groups diners of more than 4 people.

I ordered beef pho, spicy pho, roast pork and banana fritters. this was my first time to eat pho here. actually, I love the appearance of pho and they gave me extra salad. but, my expectation is the pho. for me (who love pho so much) the soup wasn’t that rich, and the noodle was like the instant one. that’s different with the other. but they gave a lot of meat on it! the roast pork and chilli oil not that bad. maybe I will come again for the banana fritters, I like it so much! that was perfect banana fritters pair with ice cream!
nb :when I looked at the side dish stole, I took a lil bit coriander leaves and suddenly the old lady (waitress here) came to me and talked with the higher voice. asked my table and took my plate and ask with lil bit rude (for me) what kind of side dish that I gonna take again. I am sorry, maybe I never want to comeback because I hate that kind of person. bad experience so much.
