CONSISTENTLY FRESH, TASTY AND A GREAT VALUE
I’ve been a customer for the last 6 years and get carryout once or twice a month. As someone who grew up in Asia and has traveled in China, I’ve eaten a lot of chinese food. For an american chinese restaurant, New China Fortune does a great job of producing high quality dishes using fresh ingredients with authentic flavor. True, it is not authentic chinese street food, but then, I have never found that in the USA. But of the 10 or so chinese restaurants I have tried in Columbus, I like this one the best. For one, they are fast. My food is always ready in less than 15 minutes, and well packed for travel home. Their portions are very generous and they provide ample rice to go with it which I really like. My wife and I usually get 3-4 main dishes and we can get 4-5 meals out of it. This is a picture of a recent meal and you can see how fresh the veggies are. We particularly like their egg rolls, hot and sour soup, moo goo gai pan and their Thai curries (not so much the pad thai). I like that the couple that owns the business made extra efforts to keep everyone safe during the pandemic. The restaurant has a few tables but isn’t really set up for table service, it’s mostly carryout. If you call your order in, she may sound a bit gruff and her English is not so good but don’t let that deter you, they are polite and efficient and super hard working. This is the type of immigrant-owned businesses that make our community great, I hope you will support them and enjoy their food as much as we do. Oh, I have never ordered them (why not?) but she once gave me a treat of a dozen freshly fried, hot donut balls tossed in powdered sugar. They were amazing and I almost ate all of them before I got home (had to save a few for my wife!).

I used to love getting Egggrolls from this place but the last 3-4 times I have tried the egg rolls were not good and uneatable. The cabbage is barely cooked and there is no flavor. Not sure what happened but I’m very disappointed. Probably will not return

I’ve been going here for a decade so it’s kind of surprising doing a review this late but I’d defiantly recommend this place. I’ve tried everything pretty much and I gotta say most of the food is pretty decent BUT what they excel at the most is their fried rice and their sides. egg rolls, crab Rangoon, donuts etc. always ready in 10 minutes!!!

Been ordering from them every since they opened years ago, had no issues with the food, portions was great, but last night when I ordered food for my family the quality sucked. We ordered a large chicken fried rice and a szechuan chicken extra spicy, there was hardly any chicken in either meal, very dissatisfied and disappointed. Called to let them know they acted like they didn’t care and never didn’t want to do anything about it. The gentleman got rude with me and that’s when I told him we will be doing business with you again. I will take my business elsewhere.

My mother went there to get dinner tonight while waiting for her food she was approached by a man. That man ended up touching my mother while in the restaurant she was so uncomfortable and upset about being there she ended up getting her food and leaving that place. It was so bad that she does not want to go back to that place alone anymore. The restaurant did nothing, I ended up calling them and all they could do was say they did not understand what happened as they really do not speak or understand any English.
