Busy again when we visited. Got two beers at the bar along with menus so we could be ready to order. It’s seat yourself and we found a table near the door. After finishing a beer and knowing what we wanted to order I approached a waitress and asked whose section we were seated in. She pointed to the waitress behind us. So I sat back down and waited. She helped the people beside us, across from us, and behind us. As she went by our table the third time I asked her to take our order. We played twenty questions, then she talked to the bartender and then another waitress all to refuse to take our orders. Saying that another waitress would take our order. Weird right? We tried the Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, Cajun sausage, smoked sausage, smoked bologna, mashed potatoes, fried Mac n cheese, and coleslaw. The Brisket was dry. The pulled pork was the best out of everything. Part of the ribs was so dried out it couldn’t be eaten. It was literally like something freeze dried, no moisture at all and had to break it off the bone. I told our waitress that I was very disappointed with the ribs and showed her how bad it was but she just ignored me. We typically don’t complain even when things are bad but this was uneatable. Reviews said that the mashed potatoes and coleslaw were great. They weren’t, the mash potatoes were okay. The coleslaw basically raw cabbage. Most coleslaw is dressed, seasoned with mayo added, creamy or some taste. This seemed to just be raw cabbage. The fried Mac n cheese was deep fried frozen from the supplier run of the mill. I liked my smoked bologna, Cajun sausage and smoked sausage. But neither of us received a $25 meal. My smoked bologna was hardly a thick slice of bologna you would get at a supermarket. The sausages were okay and the Ultra’s were cold but $70+20 tip it was not a positive experience. The first time we tried to eat here was after the rodeo. It was busy, we couldn’t get waited on and left. If you see us back you’ll be as surprised as we are. lol

Tried the brisket tacos and was very happy. Bartenders were super nice as were all the locals we meet. Felt like home.

Small town charm. Great chow. Love the fresh cut chips and the must have home made ranch dressing. Should be bottled. Had the sausage and grilled bologna. Just like old school. Stopped by 3 times.

We started our meal with the Fried Macaroni and Cheese bites. They had a crunchy coating followed by a gooey and cheesy interior. It was a great way to start our meal. My son ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and enjoyed the spiciness of the pepper jack cheese. He felt that the Fries lacked flavor. My wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, and it did not look anything like a Philly Cheesesteak. First, the meat was sliced too thick and wasn’t chopped. Second, there was a hideous amount of grizzle that was very off-putting. Third, it looked more like a French Dip with cheese and peppers on top. If you’re going to sell/promote a Philly Cheesesteak, please make sure it is remotely close to the authentic version or change the name. I ordered the burger with sliced brisket. It tasted good, especially the brisket, which was smoky and tender. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

Nice little 4-star joint. Easy place to watch a ballgame and grab a bite to eat. Staff was friendly. BBQ was good. I’ve had better but I ain’t complaining either!

To dare call this place a “restaurant ” is grossly overrated!
I was greeted promptly by a wonderful bartender! Then things went to hell fast.
I ordered the 3 meat plate: sliced brisket, bologna & 3 ribs with waffle fries & mac n cheese.
The winner on the plate was the mac n cheese.
The brisket appeared to have been cut with a dull butter knife. No discernible slices what so ever. Looked like chopped. The bologna was less than Luke warm at best.
The bronze medal goes to the 5-not3 ribs.
Dry,hard to chew of what meat that I could get off the bone. Unpalatable is even politely stated acknowledging that this was even sent out the windows.
The kitchen staff is more often than not to blame for bar staff loosing tips for poorly prepared food.
I showed the bartender my food & she even agreed that this was not fit to eat.
I did tip her because she DID her job, unlike the kitchen staff.
Return to see if things get better next time-no way.
Re-train the kitchen staff & provide a better dining experience.

This is one of the best establishments that I’ve been too in a long time and they are my Dart League Home Bar…..the fried Mac & Cheese bites are the BOMBDIGGITY. Also, Emma Maple is the BEST waitress there!!!
