Lovely addition to Sloan’s lake. Thankful to have a tasty Italian spot in the neighborhood. We did the Denver restaurant week tasting menu, and we liked everything with the exception of the gnocchi texture (something was off). Highlight was the meatballs and bread though! Tiramisu was also fantastic. Gave this spot a 8.0 on beli.

The focaccia was the best part. Said I was vegetarian and the waiter still tried to recommend non vegetarian options. Seemed understaffed tonight. Amalfi pizza was good but far too spicy- my boyfriend has a high spice tolerance and even said it was too much and took away from enjoying the pizza. It was also our anniversary which we put on the reservation and they didn’t say anything, we didn’t expect anything free but normally places wish you a happy bday or anniversary and acknowledge it so that was disappointing. Overall the place did not meet expectations, bummed.

It’s just okay. I ordered the gnocchi and I’m not a fan of their version of it. I do hand it to the waiter because he did a great job of explaining to me that it wasn’t true gnocchi, but I was curious enough to try it. It’s really just ricotta and spinach balled up together. Most of the taste came from the brodo broth and the beautiful prosciutto on top. I think this dish is better as an appetizer because I was still really hungry afterwards, but at $27 a plate, it’s not really worth it. I recommend that anyone coming here share plates with other people at the table to fill up and experience other dishes. The atmosphere and staff are very cool.

I have been wanting to try this spot for quite some time based on all the GF options! We ended up doing take out, which I know especially with GF food it can change the experience a bit.
In terms of service, that was great. They answered their phone quickly and were very informed about the gluten free options and cross contamination.
We got the risotto mozzarella sticks, gf rigatoni and gf margarita pizza. The mozz sticks were phenomenal! Loved the risotto component and they were not greasy or gummy at all! We also loved the pasta which had the perfect ratio of noodles to sauce in my opinion
The only disappointment was the pizza! It seemed it may have been a bit over cooked, it was quite dry and chewy and the crust flavor seemed a bit burnt. Even flavor of the toppings didn’t really stand out. I’ve had some really great GF pizza in Denver so maybe my expectations were too high. Regardless, I’ll definitely be back for the apps and pasta but would probably pass on the pizza in the future.

My wife and I came here for a date night a couple times. The first time, I was surprised that they added a junk fee to the check called “The Denver Fair Wage Fee,” seemingly attributing it to a Denver ordinance that I assumed was new since I hadn’t seen it at other Denver restaurants. When I got home and checked, no such ordinance existed. I decided to go back a second time for Valentine’s Day, since my wife loved their gluten-friendly menu. On this second visit, a table beside us asked about the junk fee added to their check. The server responded, “that’s because of the Denver Fair Wage Act.” That was the last straw for me.
It’s one thing to add a junk fee to your menu and take ownership, but it’s another thing to blame it on a law that doesn’t exist. We all know prices have shot up since COVID and will never go back down, so why try to trick your customers? My wife and I both love the food here, and it’s a shame that the owner feels like they need to lie to their customers in order to keep the doors open.
I’d be more than happy to change this review to a four or five star review if the owner either (1) takes ownership of the junk fee or (2) removes the junk fee. Until that happens, the bill paying part of the dining experience ruins it for me. Please take ownership of your business practices and stop trying to trick your customers.

We went to try gusto a few days ago and it was absolutely delicious. The cocktails and wine selection are perfection matched by the amazing food. We went with a big group so we’re were able to order a lot of the menu. The meatballs, burrata, foccia and Cesar salad were all wonderful! Followed by the amatriciana and buttera pastas. Then with 2 more pizzas. We ended with the tiramisu and olive oil cake. Honestly there was nothing we ate that we didn’t like. Everything was wonderful. The apps and deserts were definitely some of the best we’ve had in Denver. Can’t wait to come back!

Loved it, will definitely be coming back. We met the chef, Lon – he’s a genius maestro with flavors. Everything blends so well, he’s an artist. We loved the wagyu meatballs and the rigatoni buttera – tasted incredible and the wine they recommended was top notch. We went for valentines and they had the cutest dessert in the shape of a heart. All of Chef Lon’s restaurants are so so good, the food is so cool and delicious. Recommend 100%

First let me say that I love the food and atmosphere of Gusto. It is a neighborhood restaurant for me so I would go there more except for one consistent service issue that drives me crazy. First and second courses never come out for all guests at the same time. While this is not necessarily an issue for apps or salads, it is very annoying for main courses. Every time I have been to Gusto to eat people in our party are served at different times. How hard is it for the kitchen to coordinate service? I’m not talking about not enough hands, set a plate down, go to the kitchen get the rest and come right back. It is easily up to 5-7 minutes between people alll getting their food. We like to enjoy our food together but are always encouraged to go ahead and start so it doesn’t get cold. I was halfway through my dish when the others got their food. That is a considerable problem in my eyes. Is it just me? I’m curious. It seems fixable. Just had to get that off my chest. Love the food, hate how it comes to the table!

Absolutely AMAZING. That’s the only word that comes close to describing this meal. The staff were so kind and attentive, and the food? Even better. Huge shoutout to Chef Justin—everything was perfection. The cocktails were also phenomenal! This was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, and I eat out in the neighborhood often. If you get the chance to eat here, do it! You won’t regret it. I cannot wait to come back.
