I was staying at the Blue Chip Casino and hotel and wanted to order food from Infusion. I called room service and they said that I could order but would have to go down to pick it up. No problem. She transferred me to Infusion to make my order and a woman answered the phone and told me that I called the wrong number and that I needed to call the kitchen to order. I started to explain that I was transferred and asked if she could give me the number to the kitchen so I could order. She rudely told me that she didn’t have that number and hung up. I went to the website and called the number on the website and she answered again. She very rudely said that I had called the wrong number again. I said that I was transferred the first time and that this is the number on their website. She said that I needed to call the kitchen and when asked what that number was, she said she didn’t know it but I needed to call them not her. I called the front desk again and explained it to them and they transferred me to the number they had on file for Infusion restaurant. The same woman answered and rudely told me I needed to stop calling this number because it is the wrong number. So I said that I needed the correct number from her because the hotel and their website is listing this number as the correct number. She rudely said she didn’t have it but I needed to call them and quit calling her. I asked her to ask someone else that works there for the number if she didn’t know it. She sighed loudly and then set the phone down where I could hear her taking an order from a couple on the other end. I was waiting while I listened to her taking orders and then after several minutes she picked up the phone and said that there is no number and that I had to order off their website and hung up on me. I tried ordering off the website but there is no way to order off the website. I called her back and said that there is no way to order off the website and asked her if she could just take my order. She rudely said that she can’t do that and that she can’t help me. I then asked her for her name and she hung up on me. She had been rude and disrespectful from the start and I was calm and collected. I didn’t understand where her hostility was coming from but if a customer asks for your name you are not supposed to hang up on them. I went downstairs to order in person and luckily her coworker was very nice and took my order. While I was making my order she came over to stand next to the woman taking my order. This was strange and felt hostile as I was sure that she knew that it was me that had been calling. This is when I see her name tag, Thegan. Once my order was complete, and she was standing there staring at me I said, “you were the one answering the phone” and she hesitated then said “yeah” I said “you were very rude. There is no way to order online and you could have just taken my order or told me that I have to order in person instead of being rude and hanging up on me “ she replied with “I can’t take your order over the phone.” No apology for being rude, hanging up on me, or refusing to give me her name. Thegan should not be answering the phone if she can’t answer simple questions without being hostile and rude. She is the first person you come into contact with, the “face” of the company and it reflects poorly on this restaurant and the other employees who are friendly and respectful. I will be back to Blue Chip Casino and Hotel but I will never eat or order from Infusion again because of Thegan’s outrageous attitude.

I’ll start with the staff was very sweet, however. I ordered a sandwich, and waited about 20 mins for them to call my name with my order. They called my name, only to tell me they realized they don’t have ingredients to make my sandwich. I asked is there enough to make a partial sandwich? No. The woman was nice to offer me a substitute but unfortunately that didn’t work for my diet. Had to wait 15 more mins for them to void my order. Appreciate the staff being kind.

Tried the new counter service restaurant that replaced Nelson’s. The food was not very good and the sandwich (no pic) was small given the $14.50 price point.

We ordered breakfast sandwiches, are order was wrong, they gave us part of the order and had to wait over 5 minutes for the rest. The bacon on the sandwich was raw and the croissant was too greasy to eat. Not sure how you screw up coffee, but they did. Ended up throwing out food and finding a Starbucks. This was horrible!

Service was very slow given the few number of patients and seeming abundance of staff. This may have been due to a new staff member training.

I asked for my very stale blueberry muffin to be warmed. They burned it so badly, smoke filled up the area they were in. And they still handed me back this black muffin.

Awful! Infusion should be called defusion. Food is expensive. Not good. Only reason we go there is my aunt has a coupon for $13 she gets every month. We split a couple nachos between 3 people. That is the only thing that looks good on the menu. And those are very mediocre. Blue Chip why isn’t Lakeside open on Thursday? I thought it was bad when the Game closed. Now Lakeside. You need more food options. Blue Chip, the Infusion stinks. Absolutely awful!

Stopped in on Wednesday afternoon. Two employees behind the counter. Both not paying attention to the customer in line. Waited for close to 2 minutes to be acknowledged. The place was not busy at all. Order the Three Cheese Trio Panini’. They panini is usually prepared with large bread slices, be it sourdough or some other type. Took it back to my room. Opened the carry out box. It was just a large toasted cheese sandwich. I started to eat it. Could not eat anywhere close to the crusts. It was either quite stale been frozen, who knows? Cannot believe that I paid $14.50 for this trash! Should have requested a refund. Actually, horrible. Pre pandemic, Nelson’s Deli was quite good. After everything opened up again, their food was not that great again. Learned that their breakfast and other sandwiches were all prepared ahead of time. Tasted badly. Then earlier this year or so, the Mexican restaurant in a very small place opens up in what was previously the gift shop. The Twisted Lime or something like that? Their food was so darn good. Couldn’t wait to get back to the Blue Chip last week and enjoy their food. Saw it all shuttered. Big disappointment. If the food venues don’t step up at the Blue Chip, the Casino will lose many of us old time patrons. I’ve been coming to the Blue Chip since they first opened in August 1997 when there was only the small boat that needed to leave the dock for two hrs.
