I stopped by this restaurant and ordered the chicken fried rice, and I was pleasantly surprised. The portion size was generous, easily enough for two meals or a very filling lunch. The rice had a nice wok-fried flavor, and the mix of vegetables peas, carrots, and onions added good texture and color. The egg was fluffy and evenly mixed in, and the chunks of grilled chicken had a nice char that gave it a smoky touch.
It tasted fresh and was clearly made to order.
Solid spot if you’re looking for classic takeout-style fried rice with a good balance of ingredients and a satisfying portion.

this is quite literally the best chicken chow mien i’ve ever had in the PNW. we took a chance just as we were leaving fred meyer, and now we have a new favorite spot!!! highly, HIGHLY recommend. and the sweet older gentleman at the cash register was just stellar!!

This is my fourth year living in Bellingham, and I’ve always passed by this place and wondered if it’s any good. It’s amazing. So delicious. I will definitely be coming here again. (Excuse the presentation. I started digging in to the gyoza before I took the photo. It looked a lot better and all 10 were there when it was brought to me. Great service)

Great family owned restaurant! The menu offers more than most teriyaki restaurants. Every time I go in I get to see the extended family visiting and helping. I appreciate this atmosphere! Family together! I ordered the chicken and pork teriyaki. Good stuff! The salad is freshly chopped, not bagged or wilted. Good portions.

This is one of my favourite places for Teriyaki lunch plates, their portions are generous, lots of protein! Steam veggies comes with it, I like that better than the standard salad (with dressing).
Process for ordering is simple, look at the board & decide what you want, pay at the counter & get yourself a table, decent amount of seats available. Free access to cup, ice, & water.
Lakeway Dr is your exit, once you get off the freeway, stay in the left lane, turn left & you will see Fred Meyer on your right. It is located on your right with ample parking.

We ordered hot and sour soup for takeout and there was shrimp in it, which was never mentioned anywhere. My partner is allergic to seafood and actually had an allergic reaction after eating it before we realized there was shrimp in the soup.
Hot and sour soup usually doesn’t even have shrimp, so we had no reason to expect that. It’s really concerning that something like shellfish wouldn’t be clearly listed. Food allergies are serious and this could have been a lot worse. Really disappointed with this experience.

just moved over to the area and have gotten teriyaki here 4 nights so far! it is me and my husbands favorite teriyaki in town. super friendly service, amazing food!!! reccomend the soups especially. will be coming back! (again…) lol

While we will miss Lakeway Teriyaki, Choi’s is a happy replacement!! Very yummy food, owner is very nice, and I like the new interior. The menu looks huge and I can’t wait to work my way through it! The prices and portion sizes are nice especially for a hungry college student.
