Really good egg biryani and saag paneer. The mango lassi was excellent. We had a really fun time eating here while watching 90s Bollywood songs on tv. Great service!

Biryani King – Pearland, TX
Back again and it’s still the real deal. – Legit.
Second review here :
I came back to Biryani King to see if my last amazing experience was just a lucky day or a one-hit wonder. Turns out, it wasn’t luck—this place is consistent and legit.

Last time, I had the vindaloo—spicy and packed with bold flavor. This time, I went with the chicken tikka masala, and it was just as incredible, with a rich, creamy sauce and the perfect balance of spice and flavor.

The garlic naan? Warm, fluffy, and slightly crispy—exactly how it should be. The basmati rice was cooked to perfection. And the mango lassi? Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—cold, smooth, and refreshing.

I showed up around 1pm so it wasn’t packed, but honestly, I’m surprised this place isn’t busier. It deserves the hype. I drive 40 minutes to Pearland for work and make it a point to stop here every time. The staff is friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and the food never disappoints.

All of this, plus a bottled water, came out to $23.23. Worth every penny. I left full, happy, and already looking forward to next time.

If you’re on the fence—stop thinking. Just go. This place has officially earned a spot on my Houston-area favorites list.

Tried this spot on a whim and left impressed.

Mango Lassi –
Super refreshing and clearly made fresh. The yogurt flavor came through a little more than I like, but it was still creamy, smooth, and satisfying. Great balance of sweet and tangy.

Chicken Vindaloo –
This one came to play. The heat hits in all the right places—spicy but not overpowering—and the chicken was tender, juicy, and well-marinated. Paired with perfectly cooked, fragrant basmati rice, this dish felt like a complete win.

Garlic Naan –
Soft and fluffy with a nice crisp edge here and there. The garlic wasn’t overpowering, which I appreciated—it added flavor without stealing the spotlight. Great for scooping up sauce.

Portions were solid and filling without going overboard, and the price point was more than fair for the quality.

Service –
Friendly and helpful. The guy behind the counter walked me through a few menu items and helped me pick the right heat level. Chill and welcoming vibes all around.

Final Verdict: 9/10
Bold flavors, good heat, fair price, and friendly service. Definitely coming back.

Felt like some authentic Indian food. I had the sweet lassi, which is a sweetened yogurt drink, I figured if my food would be too spicy it would help the burn. I had the Kadai Masala and it was delicious. I could taste the flavors of the different herbs and spices. It was not very spicy. Rice was cooked well and I ordered the garlic Naan. Everything was very good. Portion size was great and definitely enough. The staff was very sweet and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable as well.

This place is amazing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff went above and beyond. And the food? Absolutely outstanding, worthy of the name Biryani King. Every dish was full of flavor, perfectly hitting every spot and beautifully presented. It’s rare to find a restaurant like this, with everything 10/10. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for a memorable experience.

I think I finally found my go to Indian take away spot in Pearland! Butter chicken had plenty of chicken and the sauce was perfect, not overly greasy. The shrimp korma was fantastic, my dad and I were fighting over the last bit of the sauce with our naan. The vegetable biriyani was very flavorful with big chunks of paneer. Can’t wait to try more of their food, everything was well packaged the the restaurant looked very clean too.

I enjoyed the food we got. We really liked the Tikka Masala out of the 3 dishes we got. It was rich and flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The dal tadka was more of a bean flavor dish. Lastly the Chicken 65 Bryani was really good as well. If it was just the chicken it would be too spicy but with the rice it was great!

This unassuming place is absolutely amazing! Walked past before thinking Biryani King only served the delicious Biryani rice. Huge mistake to not go in here. Biryani King offers so much in this lil place. Besides the BEST tikka masala experienced in this country, amazing Chicken 65 biryani, great vindaloo, phenomenal garlic naan, and simosas! All made fresh and after ordered so it does require a oh-so-worth-it wait. Waitstaff is attentive and insightful. Quite the proverbial hidden gem, indeed.
