Reviews
Wifi available. Staff were efficient. I did not encounter any attitude problems mentioned in other reviews.
The service is quick don’t have to wait for the food
Can seat out side the front of the restaurant
Located in the old town
Will come back again
The real problem was the staff’s attitude. Despite this being a Vietnamese restaurant, both waitresses were Chinese, and one in particular (a girl with short white hair) was extremely rude. We ordered bánh xèo (Vietnamese pancake), which in Vietnam is always cut into smaller pieces before wrapping and eating. We politely asked for scissors to cut it — a very normal request for this dish — but were told they didn’t have any. Honestly, what restaurant doesn’t have scissors, especially one serving bánh xèo? Instead of explaining nicely or offering another solution, the waitress responded with a very dismissive and unpleasant attitude.
This kind of service is unacceptable. If staff are working in a Vietnamese restaurant, they should at least respect and understand basic Vietnamese dining culture, or at the very least treat customers politely.
I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone until they seriously improve both their service and training.
I would have rated 4+ if it weren’t for the atmosphere. We were seated by a table where the owner or staff’s young children were being fed and they acted as if they were home. Their mother (manager/staff?) yelled and scolded them as if they were at home, as well. They was definitely no priority or courtesy towards paying customers trying to have a nice, quiet meal. It was so bad the mother ended up dragging the boy out of the restaurant and as he fell on the floor, the boy ended up kicking me. No apology!
Giving only one star for service because nothing was done by the waitress to help improve experience, which she very well knew was going downhill, and because we were charged €2 per person without any notice or comment.
Great food, but absolute terrible dining experience.
All in all the food was great and well made, also pretty healthy choices!
Vietnamese food has spices, so keep that in mind if you have a low tolerance.
