The bread is very good, the coffee isn’t bad. We ate there for breakfast, but what we ordered was cold; it would have been much better if it were hot or warm. They don’t offer that option, and there’s no bathroom in the establishment either.

Best bakery in Houston!!
I am so glad I found Magnol, everything is fresh, delicious, the best quality ingredients, and always a pleasure to go and interact with their lovely staff.

I am very picky about the bread my family eats and now we only eat the sour dough loaf from Magnol, worth every dollar. Also their chocolate croissants are heaven!

I also love that I know when I buy there I am supporting a local owned small business. The owner Krissy is welcoming and friendly.

Sometimes on a weekend you might have to line up, but don’t let that deter you because it’s always worth the wait ❤️

Magnol French Bakery is one of those places that never disappoints. Everything there is delicious — truly. My all-time favorites are the chocolate croissants (they’re dangerously good), but they have so many other beautiful options to choose from.

This time I tried the almond pastry and the lemon tart, and both were absolutely amazing. Perfect texture, balanced sweetness, and that authentic French bakery feel in every bite.

Very nice bakery with gorgeous pastries. The gentleman working the counter was telling my girlfriend and I that the baker there is a French trained baker with lots of experience.

We tried an almond croissant and chocolate chip cookie which were excellent, along with banana bread, which was exactly as I like it.

I have been coming to this little French bakery for a while now. My normal practice is I visit the place many times before I post a review about it. So, after I found out about this place from social media, ranking this place high on their croissants, I have decided to visit. Without making it a long review since it has only 2 stars, here are the highlights:
Food = 3 stars, above average, freshly made.
Service = 1 star, they have succeeded in achieving Parisian attitudes. Some are nice, many are dead inside, some cannot be bothered. Asked her about why no prices posted anywhere near any products. She appeared annoyed, you just have to ask for the price (thats probably 30+ diff products.) Expect long wait in the morning. The worker’s attitudes reflex management.
Atmosphere: small charming design, but located in a less than average area.

Recommendation: Don’t go out of your way to try, you are not missing much. Many good bakeries are popping up in Houston in the last 5 years.

A very cute takeout bakery with an eat in area. Coffee is offered but the real treat is the croissants, especially the twice baked almond croissant!

This place is really good. We got the Paris brest, the pistachio eclair, the canele, the chocolate almond croissant, the passionfruit cheesecake, and the Mille-feuille. Everything was good but the eclair, Mille-feuille, and croissant is what we’d get again. We wanted a chocolate cookie but there was a delay between when I got there and when the next batch would be ready. The only gripe I had was there wasn’t a label on all of the items offered so I was picking blind a bit

Came back to try the coffee eclair and the passionfruit mango eclair, both of which were good. The lemon meringue tart was even better

The pear caramel danish was just fine. The banana Nutella danish was great. The chocolate chip cookie is fine

The cinnamon roll is really good – light but flavorful. The raspberry vanilla cruffin is decent but I wouldn’t get again. The strawberry almond chocolate croissant wasn’t great for me – too much going on for flavor. I’d opt for strawberry almond next time

The blueberry financier was ok and the chocolate hazelnut croissant wasn’t great

The flan was good as was the apricot danish. I wasn’t a fan of the palmier

I got the preordered 6” pear tart (pic one the left) today for the thanksgiving, but it looks very different than the photo on the order page(pic on the right). Very disappointed.

As well as the apple tartin, I know it’s the small size but it’s not even green as it’s showed in the photo.. I was very looking forward with my order but so sad because I have been in the bakery many times and loved the food that you had.
