The young guy at the register was really nice and offered to help me bring some of my order to my table. Its a small spot but the food is really good. It looks like every weekday they have one of their menu items for a couple bucks less. I went on Friday and got the fish bowl special of the day. Added a drink for only a dollar more. I wasn’t sure how much food it was so I ordered a shrimp taco and a fish taco. It was a lot of food. I was stuffed. It’s also in a good corner location with parking. I wasn’t even planning to eat out but it was there luring me in.

Absolutely fantastic. They say you get what you pay for, but you get more than that here! I’m a huge fan of their fish taco special. I also love their pickled onions, I don’t know exactly what it is that sets them apart but they’re delish. Sometimes you do have to wait around a little bit, but good things are worth waiting for. If you’re in town and want some damn good real Mexican food at a damn good price, this is where I’d recommend!

What brings this down in stars is the price. In 2 years their taco Tuesday deal went from 5 for $5.55 to 8 for $15! What the heck! That is NOT 3% inflation! Lines went from tolerable long to I’m first or second when I go. Now instead of every other Tuesday and getting other stuff too, we go maybe once every 3 months only for tacos cuz the fish tacos are still pretty good. Costs me way more so I have to buy way less, less often. Maybe not all thier fault. Probably way high min wage, high taxes, and overly high rent. But I don’t know any other place that has increased this high this fast. It’s almost triple the price in 2 years!

I have to say this is probably my worst experience ever coming to Baja Cali. They were under staff disoriented not knowing what to do. I arrived for a pick up online order. My food is ready to go. I asked him. Hey, I’m here to pick up my order, a young gentleman was looking lost not knowing what to do. He located my food several minutes after and I said hey you never gave me a response to let me know if my food is ready and then he was trying to go on his break. You could tell he didn’t wanna deal with nobody tell us his Co Worker hey there’s a pick up for this gentleman. The gentleman is over here confused taking other people orders making me wait longer than I should. My order is ready for pick up. I see my food is just getting cold. I get very impatient and I grabbed my food and say this was my worst experience at this location I don’t recommend coming to this place. Seems like people doing the service are uneducated. I hope there’s a manager that can correct them and make them more better with customer needs and being on time.

Went on a Tuesday to grab their 5 fish tacos for $5.55. It did not disappoint. The fish tacos were tasty and well seasoned. They could’ve used more coleslaw and tomatoes though. The rice was also good but a bit too greasy. The beans were okay, nothing special. The red sauce they give you is pretty good and the green sauce seems more spicy than the red one. Will be coming back. They have a Parking lot and the service was fast.

The food was hot and fresh. I did a phone order, which was good, because there was a line after I arrived. They were operating a limited menu, so no vegetarian optiobs when I went. I ordered four fish tacos and the cucumber lime drink. My only issue was there were no limes included with the fish tacos. Thankfully I had some limes at home. FYI check your take-out order before you leave. The juice was a perfect blend of sweet and tart. Overall a good experience and I will be back.

Now open for business on Lake Avenue! Baja Cali Fish & Tacos is my wife’s favorite inexpensive fish taco chain. It is also a go to spot for many of our friends because of the daily specials. We were excited to get tacos on the grand opening day for this new location right here in our neighborhood.
