Local Kitchen & Market has been open for about three and a half years, and it has become one of my favorite spots in Friendswood. Paul, the owner, has built something special, a place that feels like everyone’s kitchen. The open kitchen concept makes it feel like you are right at home, watching good food being made with care.
They offer dine in, takeout, and delivery, but one of my favorite things is the tasting table for oils and vinegars where you can sample, choose your favorites, and even have them bottled to take home. All the food was great. The wings are amazingly delicious. Good smoky flavor. Sandwich was great loaded with pulled pork. Spaghetti and meatballs were equally amazing. There are tables inside and also seating outside. Can enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine. Also, neat little market with all kinds of sauces and seasonings. Sweet treats too. Oil and vinegar tasting that you can bottle and take home. If you are in Friendswood stop by and give there food a taste you won’t be disappointed.

The smash burger is soooo good! Like almost too good because I want another one a few days later and one can only eat so many burgers each week. It’s fresh and super filling with two patties! It does cost more than the average fast food joint for sure, but worth it. Will for sure be back!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food is fresh, flavorful, and full of healthy options especially for anyone who needs gluten-free choices. Everything tastes homemade and thoughtfully prepared. The staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I also love that they sell high-end olive oils and balsamic vinaigrettes. They are perfect to take home and elevate any meal. Definitely one of my favorite spots for great food and great people!

I am SICK of the same chains all over the place!! It’s so refreshing to visit a true ‘mom n pop’ place like Locals. We’ve been wanting to eat here for awhile now so my family and I dropped in. Wife ordered the pulled pork sandwhich, I had the smash burger, and kids had a hot dog and chicken alfredo…and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS. They have a really nice variety of fresh food for you to order. I had the privilege of chatting with the owner Paul for a bit, super nice guy! Staff is very friendly as well. 10/10 would definitely recommend eating here. Stop feeding chains and support the real backbone of America.
