We are here again . We tried the veggy momo with Jhol and it was delicious and the best tasting food for me here. The Chana was tasty but spicy . May be will ask for less spicy . We tried the vegetarian thali with roti and it was great as well with simplistic taste . Chai as always good .

First time here . Awesome masala chai!!!
Loved the simplicity of the food in combination of deliciousness. Loved the veg steamed momos . Tried the soupy noodle which was great . Also tried the other Napali starters like chatpati, chana and dum aloo. They are simple and comforting . I can eat them every day.
Calm music and ambience. Host is amicable and made us feel taken care of .
I recommend this place to everyone and I am gonna return as soon as I can . at least once a week for sure.
A special shout-out to the staff as well who make you feel right at home. They are very friendly and welcoming.
I must admit I have not tried most of the menu because I always end up ordering momo (if you are a Nepali, you know).
However, the thali set and appetizers are pretty good too.
If you are looking to taste authentic Nepali food in NJ, give this place a shot.
Pani puri is a must to try, amaizing side dish.
We ordered several different dishes from menu such as chicken momos, wings, goat thali and naan. The food was served within a short time. I so impressed with thali as it was presented just like how locals do. There was bowl of goat, that was absolutely tender and flavorful, a bowl of daal, a bowl of potato curry, and a bunch of pickle alongside rice and papad. Wings were delicious. Momos were so good as well, especially with its green sauce. The naan was soft and fluffy too. The lassi came in a large jar, was sweet and dense, loved it.
Our server was very sweet. During both visits we had wonderful service. Very happy to see another local cuisine restaurant providing such amazing quality of food and service to guests.
Dec 07, 2025 Today’s visit was once again a show of Himalaya on Heights consistency. The young woman that was at the register is such a pleasant person to chat with, serves a smile along with her wonderful customer service. A young man, I believe to be the cook came out and said hello with a smile.
The Steamed Veggie Momo were exceptionally well made today, looking like a picture used in an advertisement and they tasted just as good. The sauces compliment them very well and again the green sauce is very unique and tasty.
My Veggie Thali had a super tasty Urad dal and black eyed pea/veg curry, both had extremely balanced flavors, were hearty and paired wonderfully with the mustard greens and achar. I believe the dessert was gulab jamun as it was different than the Indian version I have had, but I enjoyed it quite more than any other version.
My wife requested baby mild Dum Aloo and egg fried rice. She said the spice level was perfect and the flavors like no other restaurant we have had. I was extremely happy that once again she could enjoy her food at a spice level suited for her taste. She thoroughly enjoyed the balanced flavors and lightness of her rice as well as the seasonings and their flavors in the Dum Aloo.
I will have to take pictures next time as traveling 45 minutes home smelling everything got me even hungrier than sitting at the restaurant enjoying a cup of butter tea while waiting for my order and smelling everything being made.
I highly recommend visiting Himalaya on Heights for a truly tasty and enjoyable meal served with the loving kindness of the Nepali people.
Dec 13, 2025 Today was a bit rough for me physically and I was craving comfort food. Himalaya On Heights has become my absolute favorite Nepali restaurant! My wife picked up food for us today and said she looks forward to a date night for us to dine in.
The service is always top notch serving Nepali loving kindness with a side of the most amazing foods.
My wife completely enjoyed her mild Dum Aloo and Egg fried rice. Himalaya On Heights is one of only a couple restaurants that make a mild she can tolerate. She said that the spices used for the Dum Aloo are super tasty with no heat and the Egg Fried Rice is not oily, is loaded with tasty veggies, and seasoned perfectly.
As always I enjoyed the steamed Veggie Momo and Veggie Thali, along with Veggie Samosa this time. The green Momo sauce has become my favorite but I could eat their Momo without sauce. Not only are the Momo beautifully made, they are extra tasty. The Veghie Samosa was not oily at all, was perfectly crispy and full of yummy filling. The Veggie Thali had pickle, mustard greens, Urad Dal, and a Black eyed Pea curry that were all extremely balanced with flavors leaving me feeling like I just left my Mom’s house after a hearty home cooked meal. The dessert that comes with my Thali is unlike any Gulab Jamun I have ever had. I had Butter Tea with my meal and it was exactly like one I received when meeting with some Monks at the Temple I attend. It has a savory and slightly salty taste that leaves a lingering film in my mouth with each sip.
I highly recommend Himalaya On Heights for their obvious passion for serving great food and smiles that may leave you feeling satisfied and happy like they do us.
Menu is consisted of Nepali Chinese and Indian cuisines. I tried one of the noodles Thenduk with chicken. The broth was delicious. The texture of noodles was medium firm. Short and flat shape made it easy to pick up with spoon as well.
Wings were tender and had smoky flavor. Naan was on the crispy side. A little different from the Indian style.
The staff member was very nice and helpful. Food came out in a reasonable time. Warm and good portion. The restaurant is clean. Bathroom is clean.
I definitely recommend this restaurant.
