We are a family run business serving home made, modern international food. We keep our menu short, but we change it on a regular basis. Walkings and large parties, families are welcome. We open Monday to Saturday from 6PM, and our last table booking is at 9.30PM

A wonderful family dinner at Benavra
We visited Benavra in Torrenueva last night and had a genuinely lovely experience. It’s a small, welcoming restaurant and you feel that warmth as soon as you walk in. The owner, Atilla, who is also the chef and server, looked after us throughout the evening. His knowledge of each dish was excellent and descriptive, and it really helped us decide what to order.
For starters we had the salmon pâté and the ham hock terrine. Both were excellent, but the salmon pâté was the standout — beautifully balanced and full of flavour. For mains we chose the slowly braised lamb stew and the minute steak. The lamb was cooked perfectly and was easily one of the winning dishes of the night.
Dessert was another highlight. We had the sticky date pudding and the apple crumble. The crumble was cooked perfectly, with a satisfying crunch in every bite. They were running low on these towards the end of the night, so reserve yours early if you want it — it’s worth it.
The menu is on the smaller side, but everything we tried was very well prepared and seasoned. A chicken main would be a welcome addition for more variety, but the quality of what is offered more than makes up for the limited selection.
Considering the standard of the food and the personal service, the pricing is very reasonable. Overall, we had a fantastic evening and will definitely return.

The best meal we have had in La cala de Mijas. Perfect salmon and tuna with perfect crisp veggies and homemade fries for the perfect steak. The pan perdue dessert is so tasty.

This was my first visit and I was so impressed! The food was outstanding, the service friendly and attentive, and the owners couldn’t have been more welcoming. The restaurant and garden are beautiful, and I’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommended!

Lovely place for dinner. Our starters main course and dessert were all excellent. (We had the cheese soufflé, smoked salmon, sea bass, and ox cheek; apple crumble and cappuccino.). We have been twice now on recommendations from a friend. We will happily share this restaurant with our friends too. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is clean and tastefully decorated.

Outstanding restaurant. Seating indoors and outdoors in lovely spaces. Fresh salmon starter, butternut squash risotto & pork belly for mains and Tonka bean panna cotta for dessert. The food was fabulous, excellent quality and perfectly executed. The service was brilliant and all staff were very friendly and helpful. This is without doubt the best meal I have ever had anywhere on the Costa del Sol. We will be back.

We love this little gem of a restaurant and have been back many times. Always freshly cooked ingredients, small but delicious menu. Great cocktails. Every course delicious. Lovely courtyard out the back in summer, great building with high ceilings & welcome atmosphere in winter.

I must say this is the prettiest and most delicious food I ever had. Paired with a very attentive, welcoming and excellent service made us return the next day for another lunch.
To demonstrate how good the food is: I had to almost fight with my daughter not to snatch all the broccoli stems from my plate, whereas normally I have to fight with her to have even a bite.
The couple who runs the restaurant for sure have a very bright future in front of them. I wish I could live in Torrenueva so I could eat there often.
