Was in the area for the car show, decided to pop in for a beer & something to eat. April was the bartender & was welcoming and fun. I ordered the Lady Burger which is a nice sized mushroom Swiss burger! A half pound burger with plenty of fried onions & mushrooms. Great option for only $10… I added an order of fried mushrooms too.
This is a great dive bar with everything you need for a great time with friends & strangers alike. Next visit will be longer to get to immerse more. But bring cash as they don’t accept plastic payments.

Came here with a group of 8 adults, and 3 little ones under 3 for the fish fry on Friday. No surprise that it was crowded at dinner time- but we assumed they would be staffed for it. Sat out in the patio area. Waited an HOUR just to get our order taken, and then well over 2 hours just to get our food. And of course, even though we didn’t order much that was fried, about an hour into our wait, found out that fried everything was all that was left. We were told by the waitress that Lady Dawn is the only person allowed to work in the kitchen, which is why they were so far behind on orders- because she won’t let anyone help her.
…Needless to say, our little ones could not last 3 hours for food, so had to leave with their parents to go back to where we were staying and feed them something else. We got the parents’ food to go, and brought it back to them. Beer was cheap, luckily, and the waitress was nice enough, but clearly understaffed. Food was nothing to get excited about. Salad bar was ok- shoved in a little corner by the bar. We won’t be back, ever. There’s better options in WI for a fish fry than this.

Awesome little dive bar. Wood, wood & more wood, love it. Wisconsin sports decor. All sorts of fried fish, I had blue gill and was very good. A little pricey but comes with an excellent salad bar. Lady Dawn is a bit grouchy and was not pleased that I was taking pictures.

Decent place. Wish they were open more. Their food is delicious but expensive, and the staff was unexpectedly rude. I wouldn’t go for the vibe. Only good thing was the food.

Visiting the area and this place was recommended to us. Website noted open until 10:00. Arrived at 7:40, to rudely be told the door said open until 8:00. We asked for a recommendation of another place for dinner and the woman replied “don’t ask me that” as she walked away. I don’t care how good the food may be, when we’ travel this area again we will not stop back. Thank you to the patron that recommended the establishment across the street. I’m sure their menu is not as robust, but they were welcoming and friendly. There was nothing “lady” like during our visit , perhaps you should consider a new name.

Classic little Wisconsin Tavern. Wood paneling from ceiling to floor. Old school bar lambs hanging overhead. Various mounted animals… To me, the best part is the Spotted Cow on draft. I recommend the cheese curds.
If you are in the area and want to experience a chill, small town tavern, can’t do much better than here.

The only way I would go there is if it was the last place on earth and I was very desperate to eat The place was dirty and another member of our party went to the restroom and said it stunk. The lady that came to our table was very rude. I asked for chili. She said to me ‘Do you see it on the menu” and I pointed to a sign on the wall behind me that said chili daily. We went to another restaurant down the street and we’re very satisfied with food and service. Viking Cafe we would highly recommend. We told our waitress our experience and she was not surprised. I do not know where these other comments were coming from, because they surely didn’t eat at this place, and I use the word ‘place’ very loosely.
