Always love their sandwiches. But I special ordered a 10” round German chocolate cake. It was work of art! Absolutely perfect density and lightness to the cake. Two beautiful layers with amazing pecan and coconut frosting. Perfect ratio. Everyone was blown away and how delicious and beautiful the cake was.

I arrived 20 minutes before closing. The server let me know that she couldn’t make any espresso because the machine had already been cleaned. If you’re not making espresso at a cafe because the machine is clean then you are CLOSED. Just flip tbe sign out front so I can go to Starbucks and you don’t have to waste my time.

We stumbled upon this restaurant as we were driving around. Upon entering we were greeted by very friendly staff who seemed to know most of the customers. The food was delicious. The charming atmosphere gave an old school feel. Although we were here for breakfast, we couldn’t pass up on getting a few of their freshly made desserts to go. They were amazing !! Will definitely come back again the next time we visit Rhode Island.

A true definition of a hole in the wall. Provencal Bakery is an outstanding stop for anyone looking for a cup of coffee, a sandwich, or a pastry. Stopped by for a quick lunch and was blown out of the water by the service, the selection, and the flavors. This is the kind of bakery not to miss! And that salted caramel cake!?! Get 2 pieces, the first will be gone before you leave the parking lot.

The daily specials vary between sandwiches and soups. I stopped in for lunch and had a cup of chili and one of their specialty sandwiches. The chili was heavy on the tomatoes, but the sandwich was fantastic. Both had good flavor and we’re prepared well. The bakery side of the restaurant is amazing. Bring a big appetite. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area or visiting.
