Wont be returning.

I thought I’d try Asiatique Thai in Richmond as you can’t really go wrong with a Thai restaurant well in these circumstances you can. I entered and it wasn’t busy. I ordered the prawn crackers for a starter I had a bite of 1 prawn cracker which wasn’t very tasteful as it’s spiced. So I informed the waitress & she informed someone at the back and took them away as I couldn’t eat them.

As a main I ordered the red Thai chicken curry now this was mediocre I couldn’t eat the mushrooms aubergines as they was actually vile! So left them and the bamboo shoots are normally nice in a Thai curry just not this one so had to leave them too. The chicken bits you have to eat quickly as there chunky and will go dry. The egg fried rice is mediocre. The curry sauce is nice.

It soon got busier through out the night and I had asked a waiter for the bill. The original waitress attending to my table was too busy serving bigger tables. The waiter who printed my bill noticed I was ready to pay but went off serving the other bigger tables. I had to ask a lady who seemed like the manager clearly seemed flustered to pay. I had the most strangest woman stare at me for sitting and eating dinner alone she was with her partner which was odd, shame you can’t sit in peace and have dinner knower days without being judged or stared at.

I couldn’t wait to get out of there as it went from quiet to really loud and to what seemed like the management and staff members only cared about focusing on the bigger tables of people on it to get tips.

My family loves Thai cuisine, and we enjoy exploring different Thai restaurants. Recently, we tried Asiatique, located right next to the bridge over the Thames River in Richmond. The ambiance is warm and inviting, complemented by friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our starters, which included Tom Yum Soup, Spicy Squid, and Pad Prik Duck. However, I found that both the Green Curry and Red Curry were a bit on the sweeter side, which wasn’t to my taste.

A Thai Delight
My wife and I loved our meal here. The Green Curry was perfectly balanced and flavorful with the Boiled Rice, and the Carrot Salad was a fresh, zesty hit. Great food and a pleasant experience overall. Highly recommend!

Visited Asiatique with some friends for an evening meal on a Saturday evening, we had prebooked and were seated promptly.

Food: as far as Thai food goes I have to say I have had better, the spicy food was not very spicy and I personally found the rest of the food a bit bland. The starters were decent and the steak dish was nice too. Other than that nothing to rave about.

Service: service was really good, the staff were attentive and the food came out in good timing.

Atmosphere: was ok, it wasn’t massively busy but it had a good crowd

Good taste. Good vibes. Good services. Our family came quite late so we didn’t plan to eat much during evening time but because of the delicious menus served on that night, we all enjoyed our late dinner until we ordered too many bowls of rice for our foods.

We arrived late after horrible traffic on the way to Twickenham and the stress of the journey was gone in moments. Really helpful staff got our day back on track, excellent food and very good value. We will leave ourselves more time next time and definitely be back!

The food was amazing — the Weeping Tiger was full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully served. Anthony looked after us really well; he was professional, polite, and spoke with a posh accent that gave the whole experience a classy touch. The place itself had such a nice atmosphere — relaxed, elegant, and full of character. Highly recommend!

Wouldn’t recommend. Starter for two is £18 with very small portions, satay and prawn toast (not tempura per the menu) were decent but the spring roll and Fishcake tasted straight out of a pre made frozen bag. £8.5 Coconut soup also very small and any decent lacked flavour. 2 of us didn’t finish our meals.
