Upscale restaurant serving prime steaks cooked over an open flame & a lengthy wine list.

First off, I would like to preface that the restaurant was busy upon arrival, but the crowd quickly dwindled to about half full. We had a reservation and had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes, just to be seated at a small circular table for 4 people. It was so tight that our knees were touching each other. When our waitress came over, she didn’t even introduce herself or explain the specials. After waiting for 15 minutes, she brought us bread. However, there were only three rolls in the basket when we had four people at the table. After informing her, it was around 5 minutes before we got more bread, which was cold and dry. I was given a choice of broccoli or carrots with my entrée, and I chose broccoli, but received carrots. There was a table of younger people who were seated behind us who she went over to every 5 minutes, passing right by us without saying a word or looking at us. I tried many times to get her attention so I could exchange the carrots for broccoli, but she just ignored me and kept walking. 20 minutes after we had finished dinner, she finally came back and asked if anyone wanted dessert. I ordered the apple crumble, but after watching her continuously walk by our table and waiting 15 minutes, we finally asked for the check. It was the absolute worst service I have ever received; even the owner didn’t bother coming to our table, despite visiting almost every other one.

We were hesitant to go based on the recent reviews of the place, however, I had been there in the past and had a great meal before so we decided to try it again and hoped for the best – we did go earlier in the evening though as we had our teen with Autism with us and we are always concerned about possible behaviors while attempting to dine out and we try to be considerate to others. We were not disappointed in our choice at all! We did NOT order the rib eye as that seems to be the one that everyone is giving low reviews on, but both my Husband and I ordered the Filet and they were done to perfection (I like a Medium rare, he likes a medium). We also had this really great appetizer – a bacon cheese tater tot that we will be going back for. Our drinks from the bar were fabulous – I had one of the best Cosmos ever – and when my kiddo got a little silly, we were going to wrap it up early when the waitress advised us that she has a teen with Autism as well and not to worry, we were welcome there. The atmosphere is cute and cozy to begin with, but feeling that love and being told not to worry and that we were welcome there was worth more to me than anything. It helps that the food is very good and the Cosmo was perfect. We will be going back for sure!

Waited 1.5 hours for a table, granted it was a long weekend. We were initially told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. We thought it would be worth the wait. Food was atrocious! Steaks were not edible. Charcoal on the outside and raw in the middle. Literally tasted like I was eating a lump of coal. Two others in our group had the same issue with their steaks.
Our waitress was the only good thing about the experience. She was very kind, polite, courteous and exceptionally hard working.
I read through some of the other reviews here and I must say that the general consensus would be to steer clear of the steak!

We had the upstairs cigar lounge room for our party of 10. Very cool old room. The food was solid. Steaks were cooked perfectly. The service was the standout, however. Jen was our server and was one of the best we’ve ever had. Friendly, attentive but not overbearing, perfectly accommodating, and fun to converse with. I wish she could wait on us everywhere! Give her a raise!

We ordered a $140 meal, with a 26oz ribeye, the first one we got was so extreamly burnt we could barely cut into it. It was a brick of charcoal with a little bit of meat inside. We ordered medium rare, and it was well done. Naturally, we sent that steak back, and the next one was cooked correctly, but still tasted mostly of charcoal. The rest of our table had a similar experience, but we were the only ones to sent it back.

$90 ribeye so burnt thats all you could taste yet almost raw inside. 7 people, $700+ bill and not one person said there steak was enjoyable. Truly sad. Sides and appetizers were good though. I would suggest ordering a burger and a couple good appetizers.

I’ve been to SilverFox many times, but I have to post this experience when you pay top dollar. 2 – 16 ounce rib eye steaks, asked for medium rare, my brother asked for medium, both came very rare. We both said something to the waitress who broight them back to the kitchen, but even when she brought them back to us, they weren’t right. We said something again, 2nd time made no difference. The owner and wife noticed the situation but didn’t come to ensure things were made right and when we asked for the cheque, no deduction or even an apology. We spent $230. Extremely disappointed.

Owner’s wife was bartending while we came in for a drink. She is the most unpleasant person I have ever encountered. Rude as could be. She seemed bothered that there were customers in the place! She was short and snappy when we asked any questions and overall just a terrible personality!
Please find a new bartender!

All 7 steaks at our table tasted like grease fire char. Most were still raw in the middle and burnt on the outside. Aside from the aweful flare up flavor ruining the taste of the meat, they were tough. Savalot quality and poorly cooked for very high prices.
