I had not ordered from here in over a year at least and on a whim decided to take a chance. A week earlier I tried to order carryout online and it would not let me select that (even if I selected a carryout only deal). Should have been my warning.
I then ordered the date of this review (02/06/25 2:15pm) online. First off, NO WHERE does is say delivery is through Door Dash. Not until the order was ready for deliver did the tracker switch to the DD website. Mind you, it took them almost 15 to start the order and it did not get picked up by the dasher until around 245pm. So I wait. And wait. And wait. They finally got to my house (about a mile away from the restaurant) at 315pm. An hour later.
They handed my my food and the boxes were soaked in oil/grease. Like a disgusting amount. The food is terrible. Mostly because it was maybe the same temp as a very warm spring day but not as cold a room temp. The “bites” which I got years ago were not “bites”. They are basically the same thing as Domino’s cheesy bread (folded over dough stuffed with toppings, not the round ball looking things on the website).
I put a complaint in online and specifically asked to not get a coupon or credit because I refuse to order again from there. We will see what they come back with (my guess standard email apologizing with a coupon code that expires in 30 or 90 days for a free pizza, limited options). I will update with the outcome.
Instead of 11:45 am, the pizzas were delivered at 11:00 am, nearly a full hour before the requested time. So, the pizzas would be room temperature at noon when my team members typically eat lunch.
I called the store and explained the issue. I then asked, “what should I have done differently to ensure the pizzas didn’t arrive an hour early”. I was told that after placing the online order, I should’ve called the store to tell them what time I would like to have the pizzas delivered, because “…when the store receives the online order it comes through without the time request…”.
WHAT??? So I should place the order online and then call the store to ensure they get the correct delivery time? Why wouldn’t I just call the store and place the order? I’ve ordered pizza from this same location numerous times and have never had this happen.
The person I spoke with, who said they were the “manager” did agree to replace the order and have it delivered to me so that we had hot pizza. So even though it was a minor inconvenience, the gesture was appreciated.
Over 15+ minutes late, cold, hard, BURNED pizza, & paid for 2 extra sauces that we did not receive. Terrible service & timing. Guy offered to go back to the store to bring back 2 sauces, really??? You were already late & expect us to wait even longer to see if you would make it back to us for 2 sauces????!!!
