Always great service here. I just about always have the mixed meat and salad wrap because it is gorgeous. Meat is always cut fresh rather than being sat sweating in a pan which makes it taste 1000% better!

Can’t fault this place really, called in today for 2 small fish & a portion of chips to share with my wife oh 2 curry sauce also, the owner did me some batter bits/scratchings because i mentioned liking them so thanks for that
Everything was nice & fresh & hot and consumed up Allestree woods in the van

Visited Allestree fish bar for the first time yesterday after visiting friends locally. I was told they’d just finished a refit of the shop and it looks lovely. But better still is the cod and chips I enjoyed which were cooked to perfection, thanks for a great meal.
I’m looking forward to being in the area again to sneak a visit to this wonderful establishment.

Came here for the first time tonight after the refurb, Finn is an asset to the team, he went above and beyond. Great at delegating professionally to make things run as effectively as possible!

Only thing I would say is that the chips could be made more crispier as they were on the dryer side.

I do hope Finn gets the recognition he deserves for providing excellent customer service.

Love this place. Rescued me again after a very long day and not being able to face cooking tea. Lovely food, really friendly staff. Fish and chips are lovely, not greasy at all and my son loves the sausage, chips and gravy.We never go anywhere else. Oh I also rate the kebabs but didn’t have that tonight! Thanks again.

Friendly, helpful, efficient staff. All food excellent as always. Just recently discovered the cheese and onion fry it’s – delicious. Pineapple fritters are really good as well. Once a week treat for family – wouldn’t go anywhere else. Very easy to order on line.

Recommend the fish and also the chicken meat. Both delicious! The chips are decent, maybe not quite the best I’ve ever had but they came close. I’ll definitely be coming back here for fish and chips. Long queue at 7pm on a Friday (as expected) but moved relatively quickly so not a problem. Sounds like you can ring and pre order if you’re in a hurry to collect.

Second visit since the refurb and I’m sorry to say that I’m not impressed at all. We had fish, battered sausage and chips and everything seems undercooked to me. Batter not crispy and chips soggy. Won’t be going back
