Whenever I pass through Homestead, I stop at this place to buy avocado and Bucanero malt. But the cashier’s bad attitude today really shocked me. On top of that, she didn’t give me the full change — just a few cents, but she kept them for herself as if it were a tip. People need to have a bit more courtesy and professionalism. I didn’t say anything to her; I just asked for the receipt, which she wasn’t going to give me either, so I could have her information.

TERRIBLE service, worse food, not worth your money
I don’t normally leave reviews, but this experience at La Vaca Loca was just that bad.
First off, the **service was absolutely awful**. Our waitress had a major attitude from the start rolling her eyes, acting annoyed, and making it feel like we were bothering her just by being there. When I politely mentioned that the sides were inedible (burnt tostones and french fries cooked in what tasted like ancient oil), she snapped back with “im only the waitress”instead of offering even the slightest bit of concern or help. Completely unprofessional.
The **food was horrendous**. The pork ribs burnt beyond belief, we didn’t even touch them. Everything just tasted like it came out of a fryer that hasn’t been cleaned in months. For the price they charge, the quality was an insult.
And yes, before anyone comes for me, I still left a tip because I know service workers depend on it. But that doesn’t excuse the experience. If this place doesn’t want honest feedback, they shouldn’t be serving food this bad with service this rude.
**Save your money and go somewhere else.** This place is all smoke.

We visited La Vaca Loca on Valentine’s Day. Although it wasn’t very busy and there was live music, the service was very disappointing.
We arrived at 7:00 PM and didn’t receive our first appetizer until 8:45 PM. Our server, Tony, seemed to have no experience and had a very bad attitude. When we asked about the delay, there was no sincere apology.
Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Customer service is horrible. I purchased a natural beverage, which was definitely not fresh. When I ask them politely to please remove it from my bill instead of an apology for selling something not fresh. I got eye rolls and an attitude. I do not recommend.
