Boomarang Diner started 25 years ago as the East Side Diner in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Founded with the simple goal of making the best burger ever, every day, Boomarang Diner quickly expanded from those humble beginnings to 53 locations in Oklahoma. We’ve stayed true to our roots in the community because, the truth is, great food, fast never goes out of style. From the beginning, word of mouth filled our restaurants. Glad to see this place open in Poteau. Service is friendly, attentive, and fast. Food is VERY good. Coffee is the best I have had in a long time. Atmosphere is laidback 50s.

Very very good food, the wait staff is nice. I had a ham and eggs with hash browns and biscuits and gravy and the ham was 3/4 of an inch thick and covered a plate I was astounded. If you’re going through poteau and it’s meal time stop get you some get some boomerang.

Very rarely do you finda restaurant now days that have friendly service and happy workers this place was very friendly and happy atmosphere the whole time we was there. It was like being in a whole new world. The food was homemade and delicious I had the steak sandwich it was huge and very good. Have been here several times both for breakfast and lunch. The food is always good and the staff are very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. It is diffently a must stop fun 50’s themed diner anytime you are in Poteau Oklahoma. They serve both breakfast and lunch all day.
The Boom a Rang diner has plenty of parking it seems their overflow parking is also by the school across the road from the diner. It is always pretty busy, but still, service and wait times are very good. They are handicapped accessible and have highchairs and booster seats for the little ones. We will definitely be back again soon.

Nice little diner, the food came out fast and it was hot. The coffee was good too tasted fresh and it was not too watery nor bitter. I had the ham with scrambled eggs and toast. Definitely will try it again around lunch time. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly, they made sure I had everything I needed and didn’t rush me to hurry up and leave.

Today (02-02-2026) Left the Boomerang Diner in Poteau. The staff was very rude, especially the cashier. Terrible service and lack of professionalism. In the future, I will go to another Boomerang Diner location. I will not be coming back to the Poteau, Ok. location.

We’ve always enjoyed going to Boomerang Diners but this one isn’t my favorite. We always crave the burgers but fail to place an order because our phone calls don’t get picked up. We’ve ate in person and witnessed the calls being ignored. Very hard to overlook the lack of care.

I have eaten here a few times and the service and food has been great, but today I had a bad experience. The time to order took way too long. The food did come out fairly fast though. My scrambled eggs were slightly burned. No one came back to the table to ask for refills on water and they apparently stopped giving out lemon packets. To top it off a fly was swimming in the syrup bottle. Fortunately I saw it before I started pouring syrup all over my 8 year old granddaughters pancakes. I alerted the waitress and she took the syrup bottle away but forgot to come back. My daughter had to go up to the main counter and ask for a new one. They should probably give out the little syrup bottles like Cracker Barrel to prevent flies from crawling in the open bottles. We also never received a bill and went to the counter to get that. I am a little uneasy to go back to Boomerangs for a while, at least until they get things a little more in control.
