11/16/2025: It is such a treat coming back to Yummy Trieu Chau. I love their dry noodles. The best is their #2 egg noodle chowzhou style dry $15.75. There a squeeze bottle with their famous sweet soy sauce at the table. That sauce is hard to beat. The noodles they serve are hot and even though there is no soup. The large is almost too big to finish in one sitting. The difference is only $1 if you pick large vs. medium. The add on side orders are awesome. We usually get their Chinese donut $4. One order is not enough though for 4 people, so we get two. We also love their fried egg $2.75 and meat ball $5. The kitchen is fast and nowadays, it is not busy on the weekends at bunch time. Great job everyone at Yummy.

updated review 1/2/2022: Yummy is known for their dry chow zhou style noodles. Their other noodles are pretty awesome as well. Today, I had their #30 pan fried crispy combination noodles $16.50. They use yellow Vietnamese egg noodles that are more crunchier and lighter than Chinese pan fried noodles. Instead of slices of fish cake, Yummy uses cubes of it. I thought it was tofu at first, but was pleasantly surprised. It also comes with a little cup of soup on the side. In addition, I got a side of fried egg $1.75. This was a very good meal.

Indoor brunch today 3/28/2021. Their #2 Triều Châu Khó Mì (潮州乾麵) with included pork bone marrow soup was phenomenal. It is perfect to dip the Chinese doughnut into the soup. There is a mystery sauce (it is not hoisin, but their own home made dark sauce) that is available if you want to add it to your noodles. It is a lighter version of hoisin sauce with the consistency of soy sauce. I enjoyed the bean sprouts, cilantro, dried shrimps, fresh shrimp and various meats mixed in the dry noodles. I love the part where I take breaks in between eating the noodles and drinking the soup. It is a good intermission between the flavors. Sooo gooood. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Great job everyone at Yummy Trieu Chau!

I am in LOVE with Chinese Donut! I honestly ate so much of it that I couldn’t finish the delicious noodles in my main dish. Quick and efficient service for a delicious and filling meal, gotta love it!

A homey family-run restaurant that does a solid Hu Tieu Mi Trieu Chau. Definitely get it dry with broth on the side if it’s your first time.

They are generous with meats, fried shallots, and crispy pork fat. Chinese donut can be a bit more crispy, but take leftovers home and airfry them! Please come support them – they’re making great food here.

Send noods!

I love noodles and having it dry it is such an elevating experience. I got a mixture of noodles, yellow egg and white rice noodles. The style of this dish is called “Trieu Chau” or “Chow Zhou”. I like the soup on the side because I can sip on the broth as much as I like. The beef bone marrow on the side with the broth is so good. The proteins were shrimp and pork. What makes this dish amazing is the sauce. I love how they four different chilli’s to choose from, but my favorite is chilli oil. Sriracha is good and I also added fresh jalapeños, but I am not a big fan of the picked jalapeños. For the sides, I added meat ball and Chinese doughnuts. It adds so much flavor and decadence to the bowl. I got the bean sprouts cooked, so that it’s soft. If you like it crunchy, get it fresh. The offer limited hours and outdoor dinning. Check them out!

Hole in the wall with the yummiest Hu Tieu in the Bay Area. Very authentic and taste just like something you’d get on the streets of Vietnam. The portion is Huge! I got #1 with soup on the side with a order of yutiao. It came with all the inners and seafood. 10/10 would recommend!
The building might be old, but the food has so much authenticity and vibe is immaculate. Chefs kiss.

I was searching for a bowl of teochew bah chor mee (minced pork noodles). Didn’t want to track an the way up to the city. Decided to try this place.
I wouldn’t say it was the cleanest place I’ve been to, so just be prepared.
Anyways i ordered the #2 the chao zhou special egg noodles dry and large.
It was a big bowl of food.
I was hoping for something spicy, lardy and vinegary. This was not it, but it wasn’t bad. The toppings were decent, prawns, cuttlefish, pork slices, pork liver ( over cooked!), Pork mince, dried shrimps, and a big pile of chives. The noodles were nice and QQ, and the chili sauce on the side was good.
It also came with a bowl of soup and a pork bone. The soup was super savory and the bone had a nice piece of marrow to suck on.

This is one of my Favorite Vietnamese Restaurants in San Jose bay Area.
I always swing by here during Lunchtime, where it is nomally pretty crowded! Although this Restaurant is quite small and Parking Space might be very difficult at times, it is absolutely worth it for me since the food is always so great!
I really like this Restaurant alot! Just down the street off of Alum Rock, which is only about few minutes away from me, that is another reason why I didn’t mind coming over here to eat.
I normaly ordered their Hu Tieu Nam Vang, Hu Tieu Trieu Chau, Mi Trieu Chau or sometime both Hu Tieu and Mi combination. Definitely like the portion size! I can enjoy a nice lunch and always have more then enough later for Dinner!

My mom went there and said that the food didn’t taste good at all (she likes this kind of noodle normally). After half an hour, she got diarrhea.

Great spot to grab a bowl of Hu Tieu. They serve it both with soup or soup on the side.

The roast quail appetizer was delicious as well.
