Let’s begin with, this was not my initial destination. I had stopped around the corner for pizza from Gigio’s pizza, but there was no one there, chairs all up on tables, light’s out, no store hours posted. Odd way to run a business, but I digress.
Havana Restaurant was open.
Me and my two girls decided to stop in.
We ordered Cafe con Leche, a Cuban Sandwich and fries and water for the girls.
The young lady taking the order was friendly and smiled the whole time such a pleasant experience to have happy employees.
Now to the food after all it doesn’t really matter how happy staff is, if food is bad.
So as I had the girls with me a Belgian Malinios and a Mini-Schnauzer mix, we sat outside.
Not long after our food, beverages, condiments, and napkins arrived at table with the same smiling , happy person.
Now the moment of truth.
Cafe con Leche, piping hot, and delicious…perfect.
Cuban Sandwich..pressed, hot, crispy on the outside, stacked with ham, delicious. My only observation is not enough roasted pork…that was disappointing. Basically a ham and swiss sandwich.
Fries, perfectly crispy, and plenty.
Glass of water for girls full and cold.
All in all a delicious meal, served by happy, friendly staff in a quaint setting of Downtown, Sebring on the Circle.
I can’t wsit to try desserts and empanadas.

Would have loved to try their food but was greeted by a less than friendly welcome. Walking in the door I was almost ran into by an employee of La Havana who was exiting and spilled my iced coffee. No welcome from any of the staff nor apology for nearly collading with my wife and I. Intended to try the food but did not because of our bad experience

Great, quaint place in downtown Sebring. The food was amazing, hubby had the Midnight and I had a classic Cuban. Both had generous amounts of meat and the bread was so soft and fresh. We shared a guava pastry which was filled with flaky bread layers and a not too sweet guava filling.
The Cafe co Leche was nice and hot, and tasted like perfection.
Service was quick and friendly. We will definitely stop here again in our travels.
