Husband and I visited this location and the customer service was amazing. We were made to feel right at home by Ms Debra and the server. The atmosphere was very cozy and quiet faint music playing. Southern chic decor. Perfect for a date night. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the crawfish hush puppies, southern fried catfish with sweet potato casserole, with basmati yellow rice, and the pan seared red snapper with creamy mashed potatoes and bok choy. The catfish was fried beautifully I could use just a little more seasoning on the actual fish not just the batter. The sweet potato casserole was THE best I’ve ever had, and as my husband stated when I placed the order, I do not like sweet potato. The red snapper was perfection! We were able to express our gratitude to the head chef Jasmine for such a wonderful meal. I would recommend visiting this restaurant if you’re ever in the area. I most certainly will be returning myself!!

Enjoyed a delicious brunch with my parents and brother. We all chose different dishes – so we could sample from the variety of the menu. We were all pleased with the flavors and portion sizes. Dessert topped off the wonderful experience with Chef Jasmine and her team, Ms. Debra, Caroline, and Mr. Kroll.

Do NOT miss out on this dining experience in Asheboro and don’t be intimidated by the menu items – they do not disappoint the taste buds!

Chive’s has become my go to place for an AMAZING DINING EXPERIENCE. The food 10/10. The atmosphere 10/10. The hospitality 10/10. Every time that I’ve visited this stunning establishment, my experience has been complete perfection from the time that I entered the front door. The ENTIRE team makes you feel like you’re a member of their family. I literally know the entire team by name. Their hasn’t been a single item that I’ve tried that wasn’t good. The Chefs, the wait staff and the owners come and greet us every time we visit. It’s such a great atmosphere that I end up sitting in the restaurant for hours chatting it up with other patrons and the Chive’s team. It’s a perfect place to meet new people and make new friends. The atmosphere makes one feel like they’re sitting around reconnecting with old friends. Now let’s talk about the food, Chef Jasmine and Chef Dillon are knocking it out of the park. They’re cooking and baking everything fresh and made to order. All of the food is full of flavor. No other restaurant in Asheboro is serving up food this good. I’m eating my way through the entire menu. If you’re a foodie, you’re going to be in food Heaven. I can’t say enough about Chive’s. You have to try it for yourself. Chef Jasmine was able to get me to eat baby portabella mushrooms. I thought that I hated mushrooms . The mushrooms were a 10/10.

Ok…I’ve put this review off long enough! First I’d like to say, me and my family dine quite often, so much that I feel like one of us should be on payroll =). The first time me and my daughter stopped in we were greeted by Mrs. Debra, we didn’t know what we wanted or what we were in store for but my God! The shrimp & grits were heavenly! Creamy stone ground grits, large succulent shrimp & that Creole spice, as if that wasnt enough we were talked into adding a side of catfish ( insert fainting emoji here). That catfish was crispy, meaty and just plain ole GOOD! Everytime we dine in, the consistency of the staff, the environment & quality of food NEVER disappointments! What I like and admire most are the owners and chief come to the table and talk to their guest. They support local farmers and businesses. They are so friendly, they take honest feedback on their plates and they listen! If you haven’t tried….GO!! You’ll probably see me and my family dining in!

MAKE A RESERVATION NOW!

So it started with a single reservation to try a new restaurant; it’s now been 5 reservations later and left with only a fraction of what we were able to capture. Simply put, it’s amazing. Portions are perfect, flavor is on point every time, and the dining room is so intimate you can’t beat the service. With that said, with larger parties in attendance, it does tend to be a little louder inside but never too loud to not converse and once you get your plate you won’t worry about any noise. I don’t think there are enough good things I could say about Chives, y’all just need to go see for yourselves.

This was alot more upscale than I was expecting. Went in on a whim while we were in the area and was met with “Sophisticated Cajun” Don’t let the humble exterior fool you. Once you walk in, you’re greeted with quite the fancy spread. Reservations are recommended but not required if they have room. The service was delightful and the food was amazing. It was an elegant dining experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Finding this amazing restaurant happened by chance but we are so happy it did. The food was phenomenal and skillfully prepared with thoughtful flavors. Woody and the entire staff were so friendly and made sure we had the best dining experience. I highly recommend this gem of culinary delights and I cant wait to return to try more on the menu!

Asheboro has long been in need of a sophisticated dining destination, and Chives has finally answered that call. This new upscale restaurant is already proving itself to be a game-changer for our local culinary scene.

From the moment the first dish arrived, it was clear that Chives takes its craft seriously. The crayfish hushpuppies were an absolute revelation—crispy on the outside with tender, flavorful crayfish folded into each bite. It’s the kind of elevated take on a Southern classic that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about comfort food.

The chicken and waffles struck that perfect balance between indulgent and refined. Every component was executed flawlessly, from the perfectly seasoned, crispy chicken to the fluffy waffles that provided the ideal canvas. This isn’t your typical diner fare—it’s comfort food with finesse.

The lobster dish was nothing short of spectacular. Fresh, succulent, and prepared with obvious care, it showcased the kitchen’s commitment to quality ingredients and expert technique. Each bite was a testament to what upscale dining should be.

Dessert brought the meal to a sublime conclusion with their cheesecake covered in fresh, warm berry compote!. Rich, creamy, and impeccably balanced, it’s the kind of dessert that lingers in your memory long after the last forkful.

Even the mocktail menu impressed—thoughtfully crafted, flavorful, and proof that you don’t need alcohol to enjoy a sophisticated beverage. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant put this much effort into their non-alcoholic options.

What truly sets Chives apart is their dedication to made-to-order preparation. You can taste the difference in every dish. Nothing feels mass-produced or shortcuts taken—just honest, delicious food prepared with skill and attention.

Asheboro finally has the upscale dining destination it’s been craving. Chives isn’t just filling a gap in our restaurant scene; it’s setting a new standard. I’m already planning my next visit.

**Highly recommended for**: Special occasions, date nights, anyone seeking elevated Southern cuisine, and locals who’ve been waiting for exactly this kind of restaurant.

**Will I return?** Absolutely, and often.

We capped off an anniversary trip to the Asheboro area with a Sunday lunch at Chives. The staff was incredibly welcoming, warm, and friendly. The restaurant’s aesthetic and feel match the staff.

The food was incredible! The Bang Bang shrimp made my wife very happy, the mac and cheese was one of the best we’ve ever had (if not THE best), and I loved the southern fried catfish (catfish breaded and fried like classic fried chicken – absolutely BRILLIANT).

We will absolutely return to Chives the next time we are in town and will be recommending it to anyone we know who heads to Asheboro.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL.
We had the crawfish hush puppies, crisp light amazing.
I had the seafood gumbo, FULL of flavors and TON on seafood! For only 30$ feels like steal.
My mom had the lobster bisque she says “perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of creaminess”
My dad had the friend catfish lightly battered and fresh.
For dessert we had the bread pudding with crème glaze which is made to order. And my god, due try.
Although the food was the best in asheboro fine dining, the people there are just so kind and sweet. And the atmosphere is so nice and lovely. They even gave us complimentary fresh beignets! Which was so light and fluffy.
10/10 WILL be coming back.
