If you going here make sure you have some time. Very slow. But while your wait be sure to check out the little shop area inside. The food tasted good when they finally got all of it to me. They did forget parts of my food order, twice. The building is cute and renovated nicely. And all the staff was friendly, just a little understaffed??

Beautiful place and the service was excellent. Unfortunately the food didn’t quite live up to the setting. The pretzel was good, but the beer cheese tasted scorched. I ordered the pork chop with apple compote—the chop itself had a par-boiled texture and the cheese grits were dry and lacking flavor. Hoping the kitchen was just having an off night because the restaurant itself is lovely.

Great lunch spot! Great burgers with some subtle flavors and the best homecut french fries. Fresh salad and good strong iced tea. It’s always nice when a restaurant uses quality flatware! Good and friendly service, too.

Set much enjoyed the brunch. Seating is somewhat limited but the aesthetic offers a variety of seating options. Tables are a bit close and you can easily overhear other customers conversations. I did have a reservation but for some reason two older gentlemen decided they would sit at our table despite having a reserved sign on it. Something to consider by staff. We ended up sitting some where else which was just as nice. Staff were very friendly.
The avocado toast was good but should have some type of protein. I added a side of bacon. The bacon is thick cut and was a bit chewy like beef jerky. Portion size was great and enjoyed the cappuccino. They offer two choices for kids breakfast.

Donna is really making something special here. The food is always fabulous. Lots of familiar Texas favs but her attention to detail and seasoning sets them above and apart. Laura, Donnell, and the other staff are always smiling friendly and efficient. Oh and don’t forget the baked goods and desserts. We always get some for the road. Truly one of my wife and my favorite restaurants and gathering places.

I stopped by The Gathery recently and had a pretty good experience overall. The food was definitely the highlight — I ordered a burger and some basil soup, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared. The burger was juicy, and the soup had a fresh, aromatic kick to it.
That said, the ambience didn’t quite match the quality of the food. It felt a bit shallow or impersonal — like something was missing in the atmosphere to make it feel warm or welcoming. The service was okay but not particularly attentive. It felt a bit forced, like the staff were just going through the motions rather than genuinely engaging with guests.
I’d still come back for the food alone, but I hope the team takes a little time to work on the vibe and encourage the staff to be a bit more cheerful and inviting. A more welcoming energy would go a long way in making The Gathery feel like a place you want to linger.

The salad and the burger we had were outstanding. Noticeably fresh and good quality ingredients.
The place is nicely decorated. Attentive, polite staff.
We appreciated the type of music played and that it wasn’t too loud. Created a pleasant atmosphere for dining.
My only complaint is the water. Absolutely undeniable and gross tasting. They need to invest in a good filter.
Other than that we loved our visit and enjoyed our meal.
