Great experience overall, smaller space than expected which becomes loud when the table next to you is drunk and borderline screaming. Atmosphere was great aside from that. I wish we visited on a calmer night or that the staff was able to do something for us. Otherwise, the place was classy and dimly lit. The food was quite delightful. Portion sizes were perfect for us but there was way too much ice in the drinks.

The ambiance is undeniably appealing, making it a suitable choice for dates or special occasions. Among restaurants in Flushing, this type of refined and elegant interior is relatively uncommon. Service is attentive, with staff offering thoughtful recommendations and guidance throughout the meal.

The food itself, however, is fairly average. After multiple courses, none stood out in particular. The dry-aged T-bone steak was especially underwhelming, lacking depth of flavor and slightly overcooked, resulting in a tougher texture. The plates used to serve the steak also felt impractical, as they cooled too quickly and were not ideal for maintaining temperature. In comparison, the ribeye was noticeably better, with more consistent execution and a stronger sense of value.

If the visit is primarily for the atmosphere, the restaurant is worth considering. If the focus is on the food alone, the experience may vary depending on personal taste.

Blu Ember was a good experience. We went for my daughter’s birthday . The service was outstanding. The food was amazing. The burgers was juicy and delicious. My mom had the seafood medley and the french onion soup and she didnt have anything left. My daughter had pasta and sushi and was delicious. Please go and support this place delicious.

I picked Blu Ember at the Westin LGA simply because it was convenient before our flight—but it ended up being one of the best pre-airport meals I’ve ever had. Everything exceeded expectations: the food, the service, and the ambiance.

We ordered a mix of dishes and every single one was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the burrata with heirloom tomatoes was bright and delicious, and the toro/uni bites with caviar were a true standout. Our entrées—from the seafood to the steak—were cooked perfectly and tasted even better than they looked.

Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. For a restaurant this close to the airport, the atmosphere is surprisingly upscale and relaxing—perfect for a calm meal before flying out.

Whether you’re staying nearby or just want a great dining experience before heading to LGA, Blu Ember is absolutely worth it. I’d come back even if I wasn’t flying.

Had higher expectations for this place. The food wasn’t that good. The spot is cute it’s located in the hotel. The service was friendly. For starters I had the Kumamoto oysters, toro caviar Monaka, tuna crispy rice, salmon hand roll, waygu hand roll. I didn’t like the oysters it had a really weird after taste and I’m a big raw oyster fan. The toro and crispy rice were underwhelming. The hand rolls were probably the best thing out of all the appetizers. You can’t go wrong with salmon hand rolls haha. but I will say their prime ribeye was really good. It was juicy I liked it. So definitely recommend that! Overall not a bad date night spot !

If you happen to be craving sushi, Italian, and steak, then this place is a must-try—but only if you want a mix of cuisines. The reason I say that is because their sushi and Italian dishes were definitely the strongest of the three, and the steaks felt almost like an afterthought.

I’m not saying the steak wasn’t good—it was, and probably better than most out-of-state dry-aged steaks—but there are so many better steak options in NYC that if steak is the only thing you’re craving, I wouldn’t come here for that, especially since the prices are on par with top steakhouses.

The sushi is top quality. As a sushi lover, I can say it’s definitely fresh. Nothing too fancy—just good, plain sushi, which can be the best. The Italian seafood dish was phenomenal; the sauce wasn’t too sweet or too sour, but perfectly balanced for a tomato base. The seafood wasn’t overcooked or rubbery—it was soft and tender. The French onion soup was very “cheesy” but in a good way. The broth wasn’t too salty and felt like it was shimmer for a while to be flavorful, the only complaint that I had with the soup was that bread in the soup was way too large for the soup because it made it very difficult “spoon” the soup.

We finished dinner with dessert, and the only one I’d truly recommend is the chocolate cake. If you’re into chocolate, it’s perfect—not too sweet. It’s actually a lava cake. I’d definitely pass on the mocha special; it wasn’t bad, just nothing special for the price.

This place is a bit pricey, so be prepared, but we had a great time. The atmosphere was quiet, and the service was top-notch as expected—a perfect ending to our Black Friday. We’re definitely coming back, but maybe for lunch to try some of the lunch dishes.

Blu Ember is a New American Restaurant serving up very delicious dishes that includes Steaks and Sushi. They also offer a 17-Course OMAKASE. Their specialty cocktails are creative and looks exactly like the illustration in the drink menu. The staff is very friendly and inviting. The decor and ambiance is amazing. Alot of attention to details from the chairs, the draperies, the floral arrangements, the lighting, etc. Thanks to Jeff for walking me thru and showing me the establishment, thank you to Valentina for being a great waitress. She was very attentive. Thank You to Liam for spending the time to talk with us about his origin, life, family and future goals. Thank you Blu Ember for a memorable and wonderful night of excellence in every facet.

How did Blu Ember have all these 5 stars ratings?! We went to try Blu Ember because of the high ratings and the dinner was such a disappointment. We had the black miso, short ribs, Spanish octopus and the pork cheek. The short ribs was so tough, dry and not edible. Short ribs that we usually have fall off the bones. And they forgotten our truffle fries so we told them to cancel it since we finished our entrees by then. The desserts were okay. Seems like bakery bought and doesn’t taste home made or that fresh. And they even forgot to bring us utensils for our desserts and we had to ask for it. Felt so bad for our next table guests, they were waiting for their steaks for more than 30+ minutes.

We definitely will not be back. Seems like servers are not professional trained to serve and does not even stop by to check on their guests. Has no idea that food is missing or still have not arrived yet. Horrible dining experience. This is why we question the ratings on this restaurant. Be honest with your reviews. We frequent so many restaurants and this is the worse service and the quality of food is horrible. Even our ice cream was melting when they brought it out. Why was it sitting there for so long?! Do better, please.

Wow! Such a wonderful spot! I would recommend it to everyone from now on. The sushi is a must—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The terrace is both beautiful and cozy, the kind of place where you just want to linger and enjoy the atmosphere. A perfect mix of great food and a warm, inviting setting.
