Soy sauce container spilled and soaked everything in one bag. Human beef sauce soaked through the box and covered everything in the other bag. The wonton soup was ghastly, smelled and tasted terrible. Fried wonton literally had no meat in them. Almost an hour delivery and it was 60 dollars for 2 adults and a kid. Fried rice was good but that’s it.

I went here for dinner on a Sunday night along with my brother. The restaurant was empty so, we got ourselves a table right away. I ordered Fried Tofu and Veggies and Garlic Sauce. I liked the tofu but the other one wasn’t great. My brother got an Egg Flower Soup and I’m not sure of the other dish that he ordered. They have a variety of options for vegetarians and their pricing is fine. The service that the waiter was offering us wasn’t good. I hope it improves in the future. Driving for about 30 minutes based on a friend’s recommendation wasn’t worth it.

We love to stop at Szechwan Garden when we’re on the west side. The staff has always been very nice and the food is good, but their Orange Beef is exceptional! We call it “the one, true Orange Beef.”
Their Zen menu (vegetarian) is very good, too, and very tasty whether you’re vegetarian or not. Tofu and spinach is very tasty (or is it spinach and tofu?), as well as other items we’ve tried on the Zen menu.
Szechwan garden offers carry out, and has a dining room with several tables and booths. I believe they offer delivery through one of the food services, too. The restaurant isn’t large but could easy handle a small gathering of family or friends, though you may wish to call ahead for groups. There could be a short wait at peak times, though it’s not often an issue. Note, the parking area is quite small; there is parking along the side street, next to the small plaza, where it’s located. Groups may want to carpool.

This food is magical for a vegetarian. Huge vegetarian menu with delicious options. Haven’t found another chinese restaurant in the entire Midwest that compares to this one

This has to be the best Chinese food I’ve ever eat bar none. The food is hot fresh flavorful and when you ask for the general tso’s to be really hot be really careful it’s good but hot then you get a big bag of shrimp chips for $2.95 you can’t beat that. I’m definitely going back again

So I was a bit hesitant about this place since there are pretty mixed reviews, but decided to give it a shot nonetheless. Unfortunately, our experience was more in line with the unflattering reviews. We ordered a few different chicken dishes and the peanut noodles. The fried chicken in the orange chicken and general tso was very chewy and dry, as if it was old, bad pieces of meat. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was leftover chicken from previous days with how it was.
The cashew chicken was almost flavorless, not sure what was going on with that, it had a very light brown sauce which just tasted close to nothing like it was watered down almost.
The peanut noodles were fine, just very peanut butter-y and lacking other flavor which isn’t necessarily bad but I like when the flavor is a bit brighter.
Besides the orange chicken having the old, chewy, dry chicken the flavor of the sauce was very good, but I couldn’t get past the texture and flavor of the chicken.
Even the fortune cookies tasted stale, and they were the normal individually wrapped in plastic kind… Makes you wonder a bit.
Portion size for the large meal was good, but I am not interested in eating my leftovers.
Overall we will not be ordering again from this place.

Did I pay for General Tso chicken or General Tso vegetables? thank you for giving me a container full of vegetables with three chunks of meat not even cut pieces just chunks of meat. And then to woman who was there, but decided she wanted to walk away the whole time when we walked in it thanks for the great customer service that you displayed and answering the questions I had . There were zero customers in the store appreciate the help. Definitely not coming back to this place has such a good word in Lakewood too It’s insane. portions are terrible panda wok is better .

Szechwan Garden is my wife’s and my favorite place to get Chinese takeout. I’m vegetarian. The Zen menu makes it extremely easy to order since EVERYTHING on the menu is vegetarian. I can’t say I’ve seen this anywhere else. We frequently drive into Lakewood, passing many other Chinese restaurants, to get food from here. The food is extremely consistent, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable. I love this place.

I got 4 wontons in my large wonton soup and 2 in the small. Incredible overpriced for the amount and lack of flavor
