Great spot for snacks and pastries close to UC Berkeley’s campus! This was our first visit to a Taiwanese bakery, and we weren’t disappointed. Great options for sweet or savory snacks. Everything was resealed which was convenient for takeout. Prices were fair. Check your t out if you’re in the area!

From the variety of moon cake, to their sponge cake almond, to the variety of breads and all the way to the other pastries I loved this little hidden gem inside a Chinese market mall.

Everything was so cheap and all the pastries we took home were amazing but only one thing they need to improve is the lady charging you. So rude towards my family! Just because they didn’t understand something she said, come on they’re 70ish and 90ish. She has to learn some patience!

Fine bakery, but essentially the best and most popular thing they make are the portuguese style egg tarts and they never make enough (they essentially always run out by 5), and they always undercook them so the bottoms are raw and they stick horribly to the tin, making them messy and hard to eat. The other locations bake the egg tarts for long enough that they do not have this problem.

Very solid bakery for Hong Kong styled bread. The price is reasonable and it’s always refreshing to have authentic Hong Kong bakery once in a while.

My go to place when I need a little snack mid day or a quick breakfast when I’m running late.

Their prices are really nice and affordable (keep in mind they only accept $5 or more for debit and credit card purchase) with a great range of sweet and savory pastries. I love getting their pineapple buns and their matcha red bean pastries.

Taking one star off since their drinks aren’t as good, but still a great place to check out.

A great Chinese bakery very close to campus. They have a lot of excellent items, but the chocolate cakes are really special.

Love their raspberry chocolate mouse slice of cake. Probably top three fav cakes for me but their Thai tea is always a little odd

The place is very affordable, which carries great merit, considering that Sheng Kee operates in the Bay Area. The pastries taste great for the price. The service is relatively friendly and quick at checking out your order. The only possible concern would be the lack of preservatives in the pastries, making these pastries to deteriorate in quality fast. It was not visibly dirty either. Overall, a great place to get a quick bite.
