We had a very disappointing experience at this Panera location. My sandwich came with avocado, and all three slices were partially rotten. I politely asked for a fresher sandwich, and the woman at the front did have a new one made. Unfortunately, the replacement sandwich was missing the meat.

When I brought it back, two employees began laughing hysterically. There was no apology—just laughter. I took a photo of the sandwich, and the employees in the back continued laughing and made a comment about me taking a picture. This was incredibly unprofessional and upsetting, especially since I was calm and respectful throughout the interaction.

I asked for a refund, and the front desk employee handled that kindly. A man also apologized and gave us a free cookie, which I appreciated. However, the behavior of the other employees and the lack of basic quality control completely overshadowed that gesture.

Between the rotten ingredients, repeated mistakes, and disrespectful behavior, this experience was appalling.

Not bad, the food was good. The service was a little slow and we felt the price was a little high. I would like to try more of the menu but maybe not for the price. There are a lot of good places in the area so not sure when I will go back.

Worst experience ever. $30 for a full sandwhich and a half sandwich/half soup. I was really looking forward to trying the french dip based on thier advertisements, what a dissappointment! I am providing 3 pictures, the first being the picture from thier website, the second 2 being what I received. The best part of the meal was the “free” baguette side, which would have been really good with some butter. I will definitely never be back.

I had such high hopes for Panera coming to Riverdale. I waited until March 2026 to go because the reviews have been less than awesome…and now I know why. I used to frequent my Panera in San Diego. It was consistent, clean and delicious. This one has a LONG way to go. The floors were sticky…all the way through the restaurant. Sticky. There was clearly a child who obliterated whatever food was in front of them and the parents left it all over the floor. Maybe make it a habit to clean immediately after children have been there. It wasn’t so busy in there that no one could get to sweeping duty! I got the caprese focaccia sandwich-the balsamic drizzle was good but the sandwich was not. The best part of this trip to Panera was the orange scone…took that home and had it later. The floors were sticky!!! I cannot get over that! I will probably not be back. If I do brave the floors I will not be getting any food from the kitchen. That scone is worth the second star but everything else-not so much.

I ordered Mediterranean sandwich and Mac and cheese as well as a kitchen sink cookie and my wife the Mexican street corn chowder in a bread bowl and an m&m cookie. The food was really good fresh, but her soup portion was tiny maybe a cup of soup in the bowl. It costed 8.43 for 2 cookies??!! A dollar more per cookie than crumble. The m&m cookie was just mediocre nothing special but the kitchen sink was really good but not 4 $ good. Also beware their tipping software trying to get you to subsidize a bad business plan for compensating employees when you’re already overpaying for food.

Drive through speaker was very crisp, assistance placing our order and explaining the menu was very pleasant, and patient. Food was tasty and delicious, made fresh but done quickly. Shout-out to Diamond for making our first visit so pleasant.

For now, with the location being so new and busy, I recommend ordering ahead on the app (and pay attention to when it says your food will be ready … if it says an hour, it truly will be at least an hour). We spoke with a manager from corporate who was there for the opening and he explained to us that their system restricts the number of online orders for each 10-minute timeslot. So if the system says your order will be ready in an hour, the Panera staff cannot see your order until 10 minutes before that time. In-store orders (whether you order at the kiosk or at the register) are not limited.

Our food – the Strawberry Chicken Caprese Salad and the Italian Steak & Mozz – was absolutely delicious and we were extremely happy with the amount of basil and strawberry in my Strawberry Basil Lemonade – yum!

The food was exceptional. Don’t use the self serve kiosk it dropped the order for one of our party. We had to redo the order and wait.
