I enjoyed dining at this Chic Vietnamese restaurant.
The food in my Banh Mi sandwich was delicious on the fresh, crusty roll.
My only complaint was that the service was slow; the young man clearing tables had to tell the server to come over to our table.

I like the customizability of their Make-Your-Own pho, which allowed my husband to choose up to three toppings, along with the option to add extra protein, broth, or noodles for an extra charge. It’s a nice idea and perhaps works well if you know exactly what to get. His choice of brisket turned out to be a small serving of meat pieces that were mostly fat and gristle.

He preferred my chicken pho, which had hearty pieces of tender chicken breast. I opted for the optional steamed veggies, which were a steeply priced add-on at $5 but I really enjoyed the variety – broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and even some large blocks of fried tofu.

We also ordered the chả giò, or the pork roll appetizer. This suffered from the delivery and was unfortunately mushy by the time it got to us, but I apprceciated the impressive amount of meaty filling on the inside. I imagine this would be fantastic if enjoyed hot from the kitchen for a dine-in meal.

Food was very good. Bun Bo Hue taste very good 8/10 but not exactly like home yet, still pretty moderate. Maybe because it’s in the USA so the ingredients can only just make like that.
The Com Tam was so delicious 10/10.
Love it. Make me love America more. Will come here.

I’d say Pho Today is about a 3.5–4 star spot for me.

The pho is always solid. The broth is flavorful, portions are generous, and it consistently hits the spot when I’m craving Vietnamese food. Food-wise, I really can’t complain.

Service, though, is usually just okay. It can feel a bit inattentive, and it’s not the warmest experience. Nothing terrible — just not great.

I still come back because the food is reliable. If they improved the service, this place would easily be a 5-star regular for me.

I had lunch here today for the first time, and the experience was extremely disappointing. My pho had a hair in it, which was upsetting enough, but it got worse. I also ordered summer rolls to take home, and when I went to eat them later, I discovered bugs four small mites inside the rolls. This was unacceptable and honestly very disturbing. This will be my first and last time eating from here.

We picked Pho Today for a Sunday lunch. This is the third PT location I have been. It looks similar to other ones with similar menu as well. The restaurant was clean and tidy. Very large space with lots of seats.

We picked several of our favorite items from the menu such as fried spring rolls, shrimp summer rolls, rice vermicelli with beef shrimp, and grilled chicken on rice. The dishes came out so fast, almost seemed they had them ready in the kitchen. I loved the taste of the grilled beef, shrimp and especially the chicken. It had such tasty marinated flavor. The rice was good quality too. The vegetarian and fish sauce made all the dishes even better.

The service was good overall. All servers attend all tables, so it was easy to get help when we needed something. Overall it’s really good Vietnamese dining option for us.

Good Vietnamese food at Liberty Commons East Rutherford. Big parking lot.

The tables are very close to each other but that’s usually how Vietnamese restaurants set up.

Food is good tho. I like the crispy spring rolls and grilled pork. Grilled short rib is over cooked for sure. The lettuce on the side helps the balance the heavy flavor from the meat. Fish sauce always highlights the dishes.

Service is great. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is clean. Bathroom is clean. I would recommend this restaurant.

First visit. I asked for their best Bahn Mi and also ordered a pho. It was a take out order. Got home and went to enjoy the bahn mi. When I opened it up to inspect it, it just looked terrible, like it was just mushed together with no effort. I understand that part. It can be that way sometimes, but when I saw some weird white creamy sauce on the pork, that’s where I’ll draw the line. I’m glad I didn’t eat it.

UPDATE – April 18, 2025
Good Friday is commemorated by Christians across the world, as it signifies the day Jesus was crucified. Many Christians often abstain from eating meat (beef, pork, and chicken) throughout the Lenten season. No matter how one chooses to observe Good Friday, seafood and fish recipes, as well as vegetarian dishes, have become increasingly popular.

I always look forward to visiting Pho Today, no matter the weather, and I enjoyed lunch today. This North Jersey spot in East Rutherford has a spacious dining room, great for larger parties or just a table for one. I decided on the Bơ Cuốn(Avocado Slice Summer Roll) and Mực Chien Giòn (Fried Calamari).

The avocado summer roll was a vegetarian delight with fresh avocado chunks, rice vermicelli, lettuce, and shredded carrots, served with heavy peanut sauce. The first time ordering the fried calamari, which is a popular shareable appetizer accompanied by lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers full of sweet and sour tasty pleasure.

The food remained authentic. The price was reasonable for the area. The service was always fast and attentive. The place was clean. I continue to recommend it.
