Wonderful fresh from scratch creative menu choices, good sized portions, and a friendly staff make this a must visit. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Check their website for seasonal hours. They also offer outdoor patio seating. Great atmosphere and good food!

Lots of good things to say about this place. The atmosphere is great, service friendly, drinks good.
On the downside my Mac n cheese was cold. In some places colder then ambient temperature. But it was actually to really tasty anyway. Additionally, they didn’t ask how I wanted my burger and delivered it well done. Had it been cooked medium, it would be a 5 start review.

So good we were in town for only the weekend but after eating there Friday evening – decided to go back on Saturday and for brunch on Sunday.
A little background. I have an allergy to mammal (beef, pork, goat, etc.) caused by a tick bite. The allergy is called Alpha-Gal Syndrome and it limits so much of what I can have. Others who have this allergy are also unable to even have dairy – but luckily I am able to (at least for now).
When we looked at the menu – there was actually so many options that I normally don’t have available at most restaurants. Some restaurants do chicken fried steak or pork tenderloins which means anything fried I can’t have – even if it is fish or bird. The staff was very courteous, friendly and listened to us about my allergy. The chef/owner was around the dining area and spoke with us as well.
The food was also very delicious and portions were more than enough. The chef mixes up their weekly specials and Sunday brunch menu items so there is always a variety.
Every time we ate there the service was good, the staff was friendly and the food was great! We will definitely go back any time we are close. They are also opening a location in Mexico, Missouri too!

We were from out of town and found Blue Anchor listed in line. One person in our party has food restrictions so we checked the menu on line and decided to try it. The menu was great, the food was amazing, and the staff was super friendly. The chef came by the tables to check in the customers and stopped and talked to us for a bit. He was more than happy to talk about what was safe based on the allergy and made sure everything was ok when we got the food. The food and service was so good the first night that we went back the next evening for dinner again and also on Sunday for the brunch. Everything we ate was amazing. The service was great every time and the chef was super accommodating. I wish we lived in the area so we could go back more often! If you are ever in the area and have a chance to try it, I can not recommend it enough!

The very best place that I have found this year, and we just stumbled into it. We happened to be traveling through MO on I70 and the Blue Anchor was just 2 or 3 minutes off the interstate, so we stopped for an amazing Sunday brunch and the Chef and the staff all treated us like VIPs. I can hardly wait to go back again on a future trip. Food = awesome… Service = fabulous… not expensive, definite 5-star rating!

Favorite place in Warrenton for lunch, the Burger is fantastic and the rueben is solid.
Came here for brunch for the first time today, and was not expecting the buffet selection. Since Warrenton is a small town, I figured it’d be order off the menu country style. Instead we were treated with fancy food like you get at a ritzy pretentious hotel in downtown STL. It was amazing. And way too cheap.
The top round was perfection, cooked very tender, and the cream stuffed french toast was very crisp and flakey. This place brings a great atmosphere to the town. Denny’s and wafflehouse can keep their greasy breakfasts
