At Noodle & Bun, every bowl of ramen tells a story.
We handcraft our noodles fresh each day, slow-simmer our broths for hours and carefully select every ingredient, because we believe a great bowl of ramen is more than food.
It’s comfort, warmth and a moment to savor.

First-time visit and there was a line to wait on-site. We had a group of 6 and waited about 20 minutes. It would be great if there were a waitlist system (like text message notifications) to avoid crowds blocking the sidewalk.
We ordered the Lan Zhou Noodle Soup, Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, Spicy Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, Special Fried Rice, and Beef Wrap. Overall, the food was good. The hand-pulled noodles were chewy with a nice texture. The Lan Zhou soup was a bit heavy on pepper, but the beef was very tender. The other dishes were decent as well. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Would be happy to come back and try it again.

Oh my goodness, one of THE best bowls of noodles I have had in a while. I’m Chinese and grew up eating home cooked meals so I’m super picky when it comes to authentic food and this place DELIVERED. Portions are HUGE. They don’t skimp out on protein or noodles. Authentic hand pull noodles (you can see the imperfection which I love and reminds me of how my grandparents made it). You can taste the love in a bowl of noodles. Highly recommend is an understatement. Also very friendly ppl and servers

Stopped in after the Nutcracker show at the Civics Theater. Got a table right away.
Service was fast and friendly. Dinning area was clean.
One can also see the kitchen staff hand pulling noodle from the dough.
The portion of the spicy wonton was smaller than we expected. Other dishes were good portion.
Our favorites: the spicy beef brisket hand pulled noodle soup. It was a big bowl of food. Beef brisket was tender and delicious. This will be the dish that worth coming back for.

Between the three of us, we ordered the beef brisket noodle soup, dan dan noodles, and Shanghai dumplings. The flavors were excellent, and the noodles had a great chew. Portions were very generous — we had just finished a half marathon, and the food was still more than enough. The total came out to about $15 per person, which is an absolute steal for the quality and quantity. Overall, we were very happy with our lunch and would definitely come back again.

I was very excited for hand pulled noodles at Noodle and Bun. We arrived early and were seated first, yet were served after several other tables that were seated after us.
It was obvious that we were ready to order and were waiting patiently. It didn’t set the meal off to a good start.
We ordered the spicy wontons which were the best bite out of the meal.
Then the beef wrap, mixed combo fried rice, and the hand pulled noodles in the braised beef soup.
The beef wrap is served cold with lots of herbs. I like dipping it in chili oil. The pancake was very tasty as well as all of the filling.
The fried rice was very good and included a variety of meats like beef, spam, and eggs. It was even better left over.
The braised beef noodle soup was very savory and had a wonderful broth. The hand pulled noodles weren’t my favorite – a bit on the thin side and lacking some of the chew I was hoping for. The beef was perfectly cooked and had a mix of gelatinous and fall apart goodness.
Overall not bad in terms of taste, but service wasn’t great.

Food was decent! Majority of the veggie dishes contain garlic which I love so prepare for garlic breath afterwards! The dumplings got fairly hard pretty fast but maybe because they didn’t leave us the lid for it. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth with the special chow mein dish & the spicy beef noodle soup!
I think one of the waitresses was fairly new because she didn’t do well in checking in with our table nor keeping our waters full.

Ambience: The ambience was nice and the place was quite spacious

On a trip to San Diego, my wife and I came upon this gem of an asian noodle shop in the Gaslamp Quarter. They stretch the noodles right in front of you within the confines of the glass-walled kitchen. The staff was great, the food was exceptional and the place was clean. Oh, and for the touristy nature of the area, the prices were extremely affordable. I ordered the spicy beef brisket noodle which was so incredibly flavorful. Three choices of noodles of which I chose the knife cut thick noodles. Much to my surprise, they had only been open for 5 weeks when we dined there. Great place, great food, great prices.
