We had a really good dinner here last night. I know there were some things to work out the 1st week – what restaurant opens and doesn’t have any snags? – but they are working them out.
We waited just a few minutes for our lovely car hop Carol to stop over. No need for menus, as we had already looked at the one online and decided what we wanted.
Food was delicious! Texas hots, chicken tenders (all white meat!), curly fries, and cheese curds, plus 2 drinks. Food took a bit, but I think they were also doing to go orders (not 100% sure but I think that’s what we observed). All told it was about 45 minutes from beginning to end.
Highly recommend, but go on a day you aren’t pressed for time so you can enjoy the experience.

On the hot dog trail. The Texas hot dogs are the best I’ve had in a while. Touch of sweetness and tang. They hit the mark. My daughter raved about the fish and chips. The topper on all this was the fresh squeezed lemonade. Well done.

I went to the location to pick up and they gave me a story that someone had picked up my food using my unique first and last name. I provided them with many receipts, my emailed receipt and my screenshot of the order number from the order, I even offered to provide my ID with my name. One of the car hops asked me what my plan B was for lunch and I realized they were going to not offer to refund or make my food again. I had to ask them and when I did the manager let me know that they “Didn’t want to. It is a $50 order”. They did re-make the order eventually.
The reality of the situation is that each of the three individuals that I talked to all had a different story with different details. the first story was that someone was driving the same car and provided my first name. The second story was they were driving a Lincoln and provided my unique last name. The third individual was just repeating details that the others told them.
I truly think that they just made a mistake and instead of just owning up to it, they tried to just dismiss me and move on with their day. It was just an awful way to handle a business mistake and the interaction has definitely turned me and my work office off from ordering from them again.

This place went down hill! Thats great Texas hots are $2 only if you dine in. But you lost a lot of business. I was about to buy at least 50 as I like to freeze them so I can have them in the off-season, but $3.50 if I take em to go?! They dont give discounts for buying a large amount. I miss the old owners.

Good food, great service, but truly, too expensive. We used to go multiple times per year, but now have cut back to once since food for five people is over $100, plus a tip. We can’t justify it for hot dogs, fries and over cooked burgers.

A great, fast paced little hot spot! Most people dined in their cars, or grabbed to go, but for our first time here (how is it our first time in 2021?) We opted for a little picnic dining and people watching. It was great! Quick service, the food was cooked right, and a super helpful staff!

This is one of the local spots that I always try to hit when I am visiting family in the area. I have been going here since I was little kid and to me it’s “local flavor” that you don’t find anywhere else. $2 Texashots on Sunday is a deal! It’s my favorite hotdog spot in the area, but I sure wish they served hand cut french fries as opposed to those frozen fries. The sign says they are open Thursday to Sunday from 11 to 7. It sure would be nice to see locals and out of town visitors support this Hudson Falls institution so they are open every day and for many years to come! Service is all quick and friendly.

Very pleasant waitress. The only place I know where you can get a good close look at a real DeLorean.
