This staple establishment has beckoned people from all walks of life and all locations as well.
Quietly tucked away, down the street from the courthouse, is an absolutely delightful food option for foodies and customers alike.
Unmarked, yet unmistakable, The Fish Market in Bastrop Louisiana is easy to find. The petite building is short and cozy in size. There are plenty of seats to accommodate the parking lot, and also have the cutest decoration around the market.
Fresh & cooked fish are sold here. The young staff members were warm and helpful, taking many orders simultaneously and keeping the steady line moving.
Today I purchased a children’s meal. Three pieces of fish and two sides.
All in all I would definitely recommend and revisit this market.

We got the catfish and shrimp. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection! Best I’ve had in Louisiana in quite some time! Owners are super nice with southern hospitality too. Definitely going back soon!

I and a coworker shared a meal. She’d recommended the place before (seafood market that will also cook your order, hot and fresh. This was a pleasant first time there for me. We had Buffalo ribs w fresh white bread, fried corn on the cob and lemonade. All was so tasty and seasoned perfectly. When I’m in Bastrop, I’ll definitely go again.

Very small eating place,about 8 tables in total, but service is quick, fish is always great, and the atmosphere is cool and calm. Cashiers are nice and attentive with refills and tickets.
