Love the vodka burrata Sicilian pizza. The creamy toppings go great with the thicker crust. Also love the cheese ravioli and marinara sauce. They have the best sauce. You can see the cans of San Marzano tomatoes on the shelf, which are a must for sauce as far as I’m concerned.

I ordered linguini pasta with vodka sauce and chicken on top as an extra. Tastes really delicious. Highly recommend. Only took 15 min for my food to be ready. Plus got some bread and butter on the side. Quick service. Pleasant staff.

Charming location with the freshest ingredients. Soups, salads, sandwiches and pastas all made fresh to order. We had the meatball salad and Italian sub both of which were amazing. The marinara and house dressings were great adds.

Today I stopped by Sonny’s Italian Kitchen in Roselle for lunch. This is a newer place only been open about 5 months. I started out with the meatball sandwich and it was a gem. There were 3 big meatballs inside of some soft fresh bread. I bit into the sandwich and the meatballs were so tender and full of flavor. The sauce was outstanding and after 2 or 3 bites I noticed that it wasn’t your standard marinara sauce it was a thicker meat sauce. The meat sauce really put this sandwich over the top. After I was done eating I went and started to talking to the owner Jimmy and he explained to me that they go through a lot of meatballs, so they are made fresh every day. They are also using Liborio bread. After talking to Jimmy I was ready for dessert and I ordered an Italian beef with sweet peppers. The beef was thin and tender with a nice blend of seasoning and the peppers just melted in my mouth. It was a damn good Italian beef sandwich. Overall a really good place with a really nice owner. I will definitely go back because as I was leaving people were getting these breaded steak sandwiches that looked amazing.

Sonny’s Italian Kitchen is a hidden gem in Roselle! The dining room may be small, but it’s spotless, welcoming, and perfect for a casual meal. The walk-up counter service is fast and friendly, making the whole experience smooth and easy. I was blown away by their huge sandwiches, packed with flavor and clearly made with quality ingredients. Plus, the large, readable signs make ordering a breeze. For the portion sizes and taste, you really can’t beat the value here. Highly recommend if you’re craving Italian comfort food done right!

You must try this place! I have been driving by this location many times without noticing it as it is in a small strip mall on Lake St. We just moved to this area and based on previous reviews stopped in for a late lunch.
I had the breaded steak sandwich, which is authentically Italian, washed down with a great bottle of lemonade. You can enjoy Italian food without wine sometimes.
For me the serving was 2 meals, one half there and one half to go. My wife had the rigatoni and loved it, same way there and at home.
This is a cute little family place. Some tables to eat in or carry out. Nothing fancy but clean, great service with smiles and excellent food. A nice little gem you will definitely enjoy!

I’ve been here twice now after a friend recommended it, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the chop salad both times and tried the meatballs once — everything was delicious and tasted homemade. The food is consistently great, and I’ll definitely be back again
