The menu descriptions at this restaurant do not do justice to the quality of the food. We have been here for brunch and dinner, and both times the food has been excellent. Some standouts are the chicken and waffles, the Turkey wing, grilled chicken, and the desserts, as well as innovative cocktails and coffee drinks. This is elevated soul food at its finest.

This place has been open for about a year now. I have never heard anything about it until 2 weeks ago. Went with a few girlfriends for lunch on a Sunday and had a great time. It’s definitely a vibe. We had mimosas which were delicious, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and omelette. The food was very good and we plan on returning for another girls brunch or possibly check out the dinner hour to see what it’s like.

Coffee + Spice is an amazing spot! Today was my first time visiting and I loved the look and feel of it. It’s a beautiful space that is beautifully decorated. The menu has alot of dishes that sounded great and I will absolutely he back to try them.

I asked our waiter for his recommendations for drinks. He told me the hot chocolate is made from scratch and is his favorite so I gave it a try. It was absolutely the richest and best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. It also stayed hot while waiting for my food and until I finished it. That was nice and unexpected. My husband had hot maple vanilla latte. He liked it.

I had the omlet and a side of bacon. I LOVED it. I loved the greens and mushrooms. The bacon was also very tasty, it didn’t taste like regular bacon. It was a little sweeter and had a deeper flavor than average bacon. The slices were also wider than I expected. My husband had the steak and eggs. He loved how his steak was cooked, he ordered medium rare.

The waiter, waitress, manager, literally everyone we interacted with was very friendly. I look forward to going back and highly recommend everyone give it a try. I will say it is NOT just a regular breakfast place. That’s what I loved about it. The food seemed healthier and fresher than most other places and it wasn’t just plain eggs and bacon.

Where do I even begin?! The coffee, menu, food, atmosphere, service, and overall care put into your experience at coffee and spice will blow you away.
I ordered the vanilla maple latte and it was perfect! A work of art.
For brunch I got the French toast with eggs and Turkey sausage. The bread for the French toast was clearly scratch made and almost reminded me of banana bread, that with the syrup and spiced butter was just to die for. Texture and flavor 10/10!

The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful. It’s gated, lots of shade trees and extremely clean.

Our server was kind, attentive and made sure we were taken care of.
I see myself frequenting this place for morning coffee and Saturday brunch…it’s my new favorite place in Greenville. A true diamond!

Lovely chic restaurant with flavorful food! The wait staff was great, the dinner food was prepared well, and we loved the ambience.

Food:

For starters, my husband and I shared the house salad w/balsamic vinaigrette, golden raisins & sliced almonds & feta cheese ($8), and the seared scallops w/carrot ginger puree & maple butter sauce ($10)– both great. My husband really enjoyed his pineapple mint ginger mocktail as well ($4).

For main entrees, we had the grilled pork tenderloin (nice and tender) w/ cardamom sweet potato mash ($22), and the C+S burger (juicy & thick) with Swiss cheese & bacon aioli & mushroom onion jam (I usually don’t like mushrooms but this was really good) and fries w/house made ketchup, which tasted sorta like a fusion of ketchup & Carolina BBQ sauce ($12).

For dessert we had both the chocolate creme brulee w/pistachio brittle– great smooth custard & crispy caramelized top ($9), and the bread pudding w/candied pecans– just right– moist but not soggy w/fantastic flavor ($8). Both were terrific!

Atmosphere & Misc:

The owners did a table touch to make sure everything was going well & tasting great, and were both warm & professional.

We got there on the earlier side of dinnertime, so it wasn’t crowded & the other parties there at the time opted for outdoor seating. I really loved the interior, the mix of tables w/chairs & soft seating options, soft upbeat music, and the nice air conditioning, so we stayed indoors. Each table had a succulent, tea candle, and neat dinnerware, too.

There are two unisex bathrooms with barn doors, which is both trendy & great for accessibility (no stalls w/ swinging doors). Both were nice & clean.

All in all, a highly recommended local coffee shop/restaurant!

Not only am I about to pop! But I’m sitting at work with the itis! I saw the restaurant on the news and decided to treat myself to lunch. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. I wish I would have gotten there early for lunch so I could have sat out in the beautiful outdoor seating area. As soon in you walk in you begin to salivate. The comfortable ambiance and the delicious aromas from the kitchen will have you wanting to move in. I tried the field pea soup which I highly recommend and the pork and grits, which were different but I highly suggest everyone try because the pickled onions and peppers set it off. But what needs to stay on the menu FOREVER is the bread pudding. It is ignorantly good. Like it makes no sense how good it is! It’ll make you curse. I had to grab my food to go but I will be back to sit and eat at my leisure. They might have to roll me out the back though.

The place was decorated wonderfully. Tables outside are just as nice and well decorated. Cute chic hipster. We’re just playing our own music, this would be a great add on to the restaurant.
Food was fantastic.

Really awesome place to grab a coffee or bite to eat! The iced lattes were delicious. My friend had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and house made ketchup. I had the fall salad which was very good, but I don’t think I could justify the $15 again. Service was exceptional and the outdoor seating is very nice.
