Absolutely enjoyed my food. Food was fresh and hot and the meat was juicy. The sides could be a bit bigger but they do give you a lot of meat. Fufu was hot and delicious. This was first time trying and I went back the next day for the lamb which was also delicious. I have been telling everyone about this place. Very quiet restaurant, workers are straightforward but respectful. I will be coming back.

Ended up here on accident. The restaurant is small and quaint. They have a small eat-in area.
They give you a lot of food for your money.
The food was good, but I needed a bit more seasonings. I ordered the grilled lamb, and it needed to be a bit more tender.
My husband had the grilled chicken, and it was seasoned really well.
Overall, I would give it a 7/10 because I like my food to be seasoned.

TRULY RECOMMEND this Kenyan restaurant. I’ve only had Kenyan cuisine once prior when we lived in San Diego, CA but never had the opportunity to try multiple dishes. We truly enjoyed the experience of their authentic cooking and will be returning. For the amount and quality of their dishes, the prices are very reasonable.

This was my first time trying this restaurant as well as any form of Nairobi food. I ordered egusi soap with jollof rice as well as plantain and kachumbari (tomato salad). Overall the food was decent but lacked flavor, especially the jollof rice, it tasted very similar to instant rice. The egusi was decent as well it was tender but lacked flavor. The kachumbari looked and tasted fine.
I’m not a huge fan of plantain so I can’t give an honest opinion on that aspect of my meal.
I do wish more side dish options were available with the meal or atleast a slightly bigger portion of side items are offered.
Service was good, the women at the register was kind and patient with all customers that walked through the door.
My rating is predominantly based on the taste of the food and the price which was roughly $24

Best Kenyan food cuisine in Birmingham, AL. Can not resist their nyama choma or wet fry served with ugali, greens and kachumbari. In a hurry, call in advance to get a to go when you arrive. No wasting time waiting. Best ever management.

Owner was unengaged, did not care to help with the menu. Food was bland, small portion size for 25 bucks a plate. The meat was old, you can tell it’s been there a while. Definitely won’t be returning

The food it was excellent. This young man has been in business for two years. The first year was in a food truck, the second year has been in this building authentic Kenyan cuisine, but definitely pleased the group.
Check times before you go (it closes at 7 PM) but it is definitely worth the lunchtime or early. Dinner option.
